The total sales are likely a smaller # than the hairs on his head. Can't wait to see what Marcel Desailly's book would contain, it'll likely be filled with hugely irrelevant things much like his babbling, but likable, matchday commentary.
i'm surprised this was published in french instead of english, the limeys are nuts for this genre of literature, which barely exists in france.
him play many fine year football. play chelsea. him world champion 1998! after go qatar. now him do play-by-play on M6 with tout-a-fait-thierry roland. or maybe dead. same thing. newsflash: frank leboeuf is manager of hollywood united. so it's official. he's dead.
Hey ! He played at Strasbourg 6 seasons, from 1990 to 1996. Played 204 games for us, and scored 40 goals (not bad for a central defenseman). He was young then. He even had hair ! After Strasbourg, he played for Chelsea (1996-2001), then Marseille (2001-2003), then the Qatar. During the 1998 World Cup, he played the final, replacing the suspended Laurent Blanc. Ok, the guy was, and still his, the typical obnoxious, hardtackling central defenseman. Nice guys and poets don't play in central defense anyway. His story, in French : http://www.racingstub.com/page.php?page=legende&id=12 He started as a part-time salesman, with an amateur status, and ended playing a world cup final. He also wrote for the London Times (!) and did a conference at Oxford (!!). Strasbourg owes him a lot. So, thanks, Frank.
