anyone have an idea of what the franchise fees are for the MISL? or an itemized budget? what were the franchise fees for the defunct leagues? and why are they defunct? the average attendances seem pretty good (5,000+) so what's the problem? are the players being paid too much? it seems like there was not a lot of planning on where the teams were placed. whoever had $ for a franchise got it, regardless of location. gracias
I'm not sure what the current franchise fees are, however I do know that there is a salary cap in place of $300,000. I think that some of the problems in the past were from players salaries. But there were problems with teams being underfunded and also not having an organized front office and support structure.
