To be fair, it would be petty AF, to block your son potentially going pro at a big team just because you don't like them.
Benatia has no place to speak about such things, because as far as mercenaries go, he's the biggest one. He'll fly to Lazio with his son and lick Lotito's behind in Totti's situation, and tell his friends how tasy it was. Not that Totti is better - his comment is definitely not the neutral "I'll support my son whatever he chooses, it's his life"that a parent in that situation could be expected and excused about saying. But he is content licking Lotito's ass too, as long as that would stick it to Pallotta and the Roma fans. My respect level from the man wen't from like 10/10 with misgivings to 7/10 with come on, really? Not to mention that he is literally sticking it to his son too, because I don't think that Pallottta would be too eager to give the young boy the chance he deserves( if he does) when his father spews poison at the club every other day. I'd develop the boy enough to get some money and then ship him away, and the youngsters dream to follo on his father's steps, if he actually wants that, would be spoiled by the father himself.
