    France played well.
Hopefully, they play better next games.

France should better beat Israel and Ireland if they don't want to get embarrased

so i watched some of the game on telemundo today. unfortunately i missed the first half and only caught the part of the game after Zidane had been taken off. Let me say that up until Cisse scored the French were playing some pretty horrible football. I pray to god they dont play like that against Ireland!

Sounds like prematch bla bla blaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah....

I would have been surprised to hear the reactions in anglo-american media if Domenech had said the quarter of the eighth of this...

This was a misunderstanding and has been cleared up

Kerr happy to call a Truce

It is a shame as i like these little handbag fights before a match , they add a bit of spice to the occasion.

It is already a war . We invaded Paris with 40,000 last year . We gave it back because the low quality of beer and EuroDisney just sucks . Hopefully the best team will win the group , so i hope you eventually make it to Germany :)

vikash has not had great matches the last two times in blue. but before zidane came back he was the only guy who did much to bring imagination and creativity to the attack.

wiltord stinks? jesus i must be daft! here i thought he'd been one of the best on the squad these past months. but that lousy cross to cissé made me see the light. he's just pure crap. ;)

yes, i have another comment about the faroe islands. they have about 50.000 inhabitants, so i kind of compared them to my son's neighborhood club, which draws from a section of town with about the same population and has almost a thousand licenciés... obviously i was impressed.

it turns out this tiny nation boasts 5000 card-holding players - 10% of the population! i was always impressed with the sports habits of the dutch, but the KNVB has less than a million members, for a population of 16 million... une paille!so bravo, bravo, bravo to the faeroe islands!

A lot of the Faroes players are part-time. Or shall I say used to. Times they are a changing...

In the olden days, the level of professional players could probably be counted on one hand, hence their piss-poor record. But currently, they are far more footballers in the country making a good living. The majority of the NT now play professionally in Denmark, England and other Scandanavian countries.

So its no surprise to see the days of 8-0 and 9-0 defeats resigned to the history files. Hell even Andorra and Leichtenstein have chalked up wins in this WC campaign. Unthinkable about 5 or 10 years ago.

Although they do have their off days. But that's a given. ;)

We are all human. Even the Faroe Islands and other international minnows.
