Well, I took a drive over to Villanova today. I was planning on stopping for too long. I was just trying out a different route. Anyway, I looked in and there they were practicing in this horrible weather. Pichon was out there and so were the others. If she is indeed coming down with something, this was not the day to be out running around. This weather is not conducive to good practicing. The field looked fairly drenched. Hopefully, things will get better by the home opener. Well, I suggested the Ryan Giggs syndrome to some people. Who knows? The Charge do need some time to regroup and we have it.

Ingrid BOYELDIEU was the player who replaced Marinette when she became "sick". She has yet to play in the match.

In a very engaging match, France won 1-0 due to a elegant goal by Candia Herbert. The ball was kicked rather high and then dropped like a stone into the net. Half-volley. This Thursday, the French women, recorded a historical victory with Ozoir-la-Ferrière (Seine-et-Marne) against the Germans, five time champions of Europe (1-0). The ASJ Soyaux striker, Candie Herbert (75th) scored(literally signed) the goal for the victory in the 75th minute of play.
The first Tricolour success in five meetings played between the two nations.
