I was highly entertained tonight watching the Revs and Crew slug it out. The commentary was fun and the post game show was great too.

I also caught the one hour highlight show one night that was awesome.

FSW is what we should be getting on ESPN :(

They were very easily distracted but at least they were funny and kept the match entertaining (which it was anyway.)

MLS Wrap tonight wasn't too bad. I was a bit dissapointed that I didn't get to see the LA v. KC highlights, but I can live with that. Good job FSW!

BTW, anyone else think Sean Wheelock should be deported for calling Hugh Dallas a world-class referee? (I'm kidding, but I thought it was very funny that he mentioned Dallas right there with Collina.)

ESP f**** N. Not only that, the frickin KC-LA game is not even on right now as scheduled. I figured FSW did not show KC-LA highlights due to the ESPN tape delay -- a bit naive I guess. Gotta luv em...bastards.

Bretos blows. I'd seriously take Jack Edwards over that idiot.

Don't get me wrong, I'm thrilled FSW shows a match each week -- that's really great. I even tried to start to watch the Crew/Revs match on FSW yesterday. I just couldn't take the bleatting from Bretos and switched to the NE coverage on the Shootout.

I love any game as long as it is well played....as it happened with NE-Columbus....I must say i do like Bretos' style although it remains to be seen whether he'd be good for USMNT games...As for those who like Jack better, I cannot disagree more

Bretos rules. It's more like watching a game with your friends instead of listening to some drone going through the motions. He and Allen Hopkins are a great team and really have a lot of fun when they broadcast.

Adrian Healy is the English announcer for the Revs games. He is also good and knows a lot about MLS.His voice will sometimes hit a note or two that is quite annoying, but all in all,I like listening to him call a game.

Jack Edwards is doing just fine where he is.No need to bring him back to the main stage.

    PEACE

Yes. He's horrific! He takes unintelligible noises to a new level (maybe he's working on "climbing the ladder.") I could just tune out Jack without turning off the sound. Bretos is just so annoying, even that filter doesn't work when he's bleating.

I love Bretos. I thought he and Hopkins were in fine form - with the exception of a few errors (calling Clark McBride on one or two occasions) - on Saturday.

    Made for a great telecast.

If I wanted to listen to one of my dimwit friends' dopey commentary, I'd just turn down the sound and listen to HIM.

Bretos sucks. I want soccer commentators to say a minimum of stupid things over the course of a match, which is a standard that Bretos doesn't meet.

Enthusiasm is a rather poor substitute for competence.

Allen Hopkins is better than Max Bretos I think. They should switch them around.

    I like Bretos...

Compared to the guy(name?) who did PBP for the Mexico game, Max is Toby Charles!
