I'm thinking of inviting a few people over with me to go to the Fox and Hounds pub on Ventura to watch the USA vs Canada match. I'm hoping for a very good turnout so that they'll see what all the hype is about - maybe even turn them into Galaxy season ticket holders.

I want to take a count of how many of us are planning to be there on the 18th of January.

I'm bring one person, so let the count begin now at

    *** 2 ***

I'll be there with two other "partners in crime".

It's my FIRST visit to Fox & Hounds & I'm looking forward to it.

Hopefully, it'll be a BIG turnout for the "Red, White & Blue"!!!!!!!!

I might be there with one or two other people.

Ah ... USA vs Canada. Bringing DC United supporters and LA Galaxy supporters together ...

I hope this doesn't happen too often. ;)

There's a thread about this on the LA Riot Squad forums. It'll be a big turnout judging from the list there...

How expensive could one match be? $40? $50? If the owner charges $5 per person, then calculates how much beer and food will be eaten and drunk, it's a no-brainer. If there is no game there on the 18th, I say we riot and loot the place for giving false hope.

I believe that business rates for PPVs can often be much (MUCH) higher than that. I suspect that we're talking on the order of hundreds of dollars.

ACCORDING TO THE MESSAGE AT THE FOX AND HOUNDS HE WILL HAVE THE GAME. THE COVER WILL BE $10.00. THIS IS PRETTY STANDARD FOR PPV GAMES.

THE TELEPHONE AND ADDRESS INFORMATION FOR F&H CAN BE FOUND AT:

I might have to head up there if San Diego doesn't get it's act together.

Shakespear, DEFINITELY not. They don't know Americans play "soccer."

Princess, possibly. I've been trying to talk to the owner who I know for a week now but he's been out of town.

Did I read that correctly? It states that the game starts at 4:30pm? Is that right? I was hoping it would be a bit earlier, but who cares! Finally we're back on the pitch!

Man I'm SOO in. I hope to see some of you guys there. I'm pretty new to the area and I have yet to meet any other soccer fans since I came from Miami. This place sounds cool, not to mention it's close to me!

I was there. And I'm deeply offended by the fact that none of you recognized me or bought me any beers.

Yes, little did you know but all you Galaxy supporters were graced by the presence of not one but two DC United supporters. We were the really classy good looking guys on the left towards the front of the room. ;)

Anyway, we had a good time. It's nice to win a game so convincingly. But what was the problem with the TV reception? Was that the feed or their equipment?

Of course we recognized you. That's why we didn't buy you beers.

The picture issue had to be the feed as I have seen a lot of EPL matches there and never were there problems like yesterday.

Thanks everyone for not making a liar out of me when I told the owner that we would get a crowd for a U.S. friendly!
