5th largest. it would drop significantly if the stater were to split horizontally. so cal would miss out on the the tech sector dollars (yeah not much right now ) and nocal would miss out on the entertainment money. if splitting california let's split is verticall down the coast, anything 50 miles from the coast remains california (that's the best bits anyway)
