    North Side.
The only thing I have a real problem with is Siri being left behind. Why? Is she hurt? there is no way Beene showed better stuff than Siri.

You are correct. As of right now the only countries that are carrying it is China and Germany. Don't know bout Norway.

I actually hope we come in third or fourth. We don't have as good a team as I would like to field, and I dont want us to slack behind cuz we won. I want the girls to train real hard for this WC

What I would do if I were April H.................................

If I were April and this Roster was what I had to work with. this is what I would do.

Here is what I would do...Assuming the U.S. is playing in the 4-4-2 again diamond shape formation. We must first concider that we don't have Mia...Mac is not good in this position. this position requires SPEED and excellent ball handling skills and good decision making. looking at what we have to work with here. I would say the only person on the roster that seems to come atleast somewhat close to filling that bill is Millie. So I would sit her on top of the Diamond. now the only problem with doing this is that both Mac and CP like the right flank. It's where they are most comfortable. Because I think that CP is a better server of the ball then Mac on the run I am going to give CP that right flank. I think she generaly makes better decisions as to when to serve the ball and when to keep it then Mac does. I am therefore going to slot Mac on the left flank. Doing this I am aware that my left offensive flank is the weaker side of my attack. I am going to use an overlaping player either from deffense or Mid-field to work with Mac on the final third of the field to provide her some options...Basically I will be using mac as a decoy of sorts.But...It is a deceptive decoy...In that We are by creating the opertunity for the overlap assuming the position of a weak side while making it contrary to how it may appear supporting it with the overlaping runs. I would work very hard before the tourney begins in getting the players to work with one another more. Support the runs...If you see the ball is makeing a solid run toward goal step up mid-fielders and support it...Creat numbers up in the box. Also I would instruct them to mix it up a little bit. short quick one touch passing with an occation long ball when you see the deffense stepping up..just to keep them honest. Also remind them to switch the point of attack. Unless someone is hurt...nobody would come off this back line of deffense. We do not have the depth of talent to play that position well. We need our starters for the full 90 back there, Unless of course we are creaming the opposition and can afford to give up a goal. Then certainly rest your starters where you can. Addressing the issue's of the mid-field to which there are many. because i feel that TR holds the ball better under pressure and recognizes back side pressure better then Fair, she would get the start. I
would rather have TR making a bad foul here and there, then see Fair cough up the ball in a dangerous position on the field which happens vertualy every game. Hucles role as I have stated before is to be disruptive..I would tell her to continue to do that. I have also seen her serve up some pritty nice balls on occation...She isn't the best server of the ball on the team, but she isn't the worst either. I would sub Abby in for CP in the second half..To maintain our height in the box. And also to maintain our speed I would switch Mac to Right flank and put Abby on the left. Abby is comfortable from that position. Doing this also vertualy iliminates a weak side. That said one might be wondering why not play abby the full match and put Mac on the right side where she is comfortable. my reasons are as follows. CP is not normaly a 90 minute player. Abby from time to time has also struggled with this same issue. And as of this point I am dealing with an invisiable apponent. I do not know how physical or not this apponent is..So I am approaching this from worst case senario.
also you are more then likely not going to get a full 90 out of CP anyway since she is battling an injury right now...45 Min. is probably all she is going to be able to give you.
I want the second half to be my stronger half, as the deffense and mid-feild for the opposition is going to be more fatigued. and it will be harder to keep up with our forwards. Thus you bring in a Healthy Abby in place of a tiring and injured CP.

That's it off the top of my head

Huh..So basically you do not think Wagner is worthy of a midfielder spot on the field?

    I loved this quote:

    QUOTE OF THE WEEK
Tiffeny Milbrett on the similarities between Shanghai and her Northwest hometown.

"My (hotel) room is great, the Internet works fine, my cell phone works, it's overcast all the time, and there's a Starbucks on the corner. If it wasn't for all these Chinese people walking around, I could be in Portland."

So far I have not seen any indication of whether or not the US matches will be on MatchTracker (I've emailed them asking this but have yet to hear from them).

I am getting all my foreign based games mixed up...but I do recall live updates for some US games being carried via a foreign website. I wonder if there is a chance websites in China, Norway, and Germany will give live updates?

Actualy that isn't it at all SSpeed. I need a solid holding Midfielder, and that is the role i am using Aly for. I need her to perform that task because we are missing foudy in that role. if we had foudy I would feel very comfortable with Wags at the top of the diamond. However I will say this...I still think that Mia is better out of that position because of her speed, and decision making and assist capabilities.
Come the WWC, It would not at all surprise me to see her in that role consistantly.

Hope this better explains my position. I was basically looking at problem area's when I made that post. wags was not intentionaly omited. I just don't see her as an issue.
