Well point of the discussion was why wasnt she developing them earlier. Klingenberg was capped twice in 2011. If Sundhage thought she was in the mix for a outside back spot down the road why not cap her some in 2012. As for Press, I believe she had only been called into one camp before she was named alternate. With the short roster used in the Olympics I think it would be extra important to get some matches under the alternates belts in case the worst happened.
