Potentially two matches against Brazil....in Brazil. Sounds good to me. I don't think they could have done much better in December. I just hope the matches will be streamed somehow.
4 teams are not enough to have a real tournament. You need to have 8 teams in it to have a true tournament atmosphere, like the Algarve Cup (excluding Group C). Would love to have seen something like this in Brazil (Eight Nations Tournament): Group A: Brazil, Canada, China, Chile Group B: USA, Spain, New Zealand, Colombia Top 2 teams in each group make it to the Semifinal. USA could conceivably play Canada in the Semifinal and Brazil (with Marta) in the Final.

ok. if we're done figuring out who grasstopper is.... it's now a little more than 3 weeks until this tournament starts. we kick off against china on 12/10, and I have a few questions. 1. any tv? streams? 2. how many players does the tournament roster allow? 3. would you take morgan if her mri is negative? (yes) 4. if not, who would you replace morgan with? (hagen) 5. which 2 college players do you think should be on this trip/added to the player pool? (mewis, satara in the dmid slot) 6. is barnhart healed enough to retake her #2 slot?
Ive heard Liverpool but it has no impact here if Ellis wants her. She probably wouldnt be heading to England until late Feb
It will likely be streamed in Portuguese. Canada took 20 players last year for what that's worth Morgan...yes...but I would control her minutes If Morgan couldnt play then Hagen, Horan, Ohai I dont think any college players get a look unless someone stands on her head in the tournament. I guess it depends on how big the camp is. If I were bringing in collge players Id start with Mewis and Killion as the midfield still seems a bit up in the air. Id be disappointed if Barnhart didnt get a shot at the WC roster.
I'm hearing camp starts December 02. If so, wouldn't it be too late for college players, especially for those two who are expected to be at College Cup until December 07?
