'Wild Bill' came so close to bringing the St Louis Blues to Saskatoon in 1983. :(

They just would have been in Atlanta, Carolina or Seattle by now.

Did he sell the team to Pocklington?

Now there's a former Edmonton Oilers owner I can imagine Oilers fans would STILL like to see shuffle off this mortal coil, for trading off Gretzky.

Pocklington bought the Oilers off of Nelson Skalbania a few years before the Oilers joined the NHL. Hunter was a founder of the team but I'm not sure he was an owner.

As for Pocklington, hockey fans hate him. Soccer fans, on the other hand, hold Pocklinton in a bit higher esteem since he brough pro soccer to the city. Same with baseball fans.
