What is the starting order for forwards?

    Wolff hasn't played a full 90 yet
    Igor gets pulled for Wolff.
Brown is always good at the begining of the season, and knows how to use his head.
    Fabbro is...............big.

I don't know, but feel free to discuss

    KC
    1. Josh Wolff
    2. Igor Simutenkov
    3. Chris Brown
    4. Davey Arnaud
    5. Stephen Armstrong
    6. Matt McKeon
    7. Digital
    ....
    100. Dario Fabrro :)

I'd say Fabrro is #3 or #4 but I sure am not sold. And again, one secondary assist doesn't justify his poor play overall. Wolff is getting healthy, he'll be starting just in time for the Confed Cup. :(

I agree with Ben, I think that Wolff and Simutenkov should be our 1 and 2-From what I saw, there is no reason why Wolff shouldn't play a full 90. As for Browny, I would put him as 3rd forward. He should be the first off the bench-he can be a very good "super" sub.

I have to agree with both of you. I was somewhat surprised that Wolff did not start on Saturday, but when he did come in, he showed why he should be our top striker. Even though he didnt have many touches on the ball, he was constantly moving and making runs, opening up space for other players (klein, preki, etc.) to run onto the ball. I thought our defense, especially conrad and gutierrez(although he is a defensive middie), did a good job getting into the attack as well. If we can push the ball up quickly with our defense i think the wiz have a great shot at another MLS Cup.

RHS welcome to the boards. If I am not mistaken Gutierez played out on the left wing last game.

    No, No....

Brown is popular right now because of his game winner...

But as for talent, it's Wolf, Brown, Fabbro, then Brown.

Brown will see time in midfield though.

I assume you meant Wolff, Igor, Fabbro, Brown.

And Brown isn't just popular because of his overtime goal. Dario may very well be a more talented player, but it doesn't do us a damn bit of good if all he does is stand at the top of the box and hope somebody bounces a ball off of him.

Brown is ahead of Fabbro not because of talent, but because he freakin' tries. A little heart & effort can go a long way...

I think the Wizards could do well to learn the lesson of last year's Washington Freedom. I don't think Mia Hamm started a game the entire season - including the championship game. She came in at the half.

    1) It was less wear and tear on her recovering legs.

    2) She came in fresh and only had to pace her world-class moves against tired legs

I'm guessing 4 days will pass between the first game Josh Wolff goes 90 for the Wizards and when he's called up for the Nats.

We are deep at forward right now. Let Dario and Brownie, and even Davy get some minutes, and we can throw Josh at our opponents in the second half.

First RHSHawklet, welcome to the boards and BTW, Go Wildcats! How is it you live in LS and scorn your Tigers/Broncos/Wildcats (part of LS is BS school dist.) and go to the home of the baby igles?

On to Fabbro: I'm no Fabbro appologist by a long stretch, but your post highlites the one thing he has shown a strong ability to do. That being to put a guy on his hip and keep him there like an NBA post guy. If KC must play Fabbro, KC must exploit his size on set plays (wall player & lay offs) and long balls ala MoJo. Otherwise what is the use of having him? Wolff, and Igor are certainly not going to impress with size/strength and you never know when Brown will put it wide, so maybe he's necessary. I just want to see him work when he's in - that's my only problem.

Because Rockhurst is the best school in the KC metro area!

Welcome to the boards RHSHawklet from a member of the Rockhurst class of 88.

Thanks for the welcomes guys. First off to wizardscharter, i would have to agree with salty but thats no disrespect to BS or any other public school around here. Lots of friends at both BS and BSS. I actually would have gone to BSS if i didnt go to the Rock. Props to gutierrez(blue springs alum, rockhurst u. grad).
To salty, ill be graduating next year.

Fabbro, in my eyes, hasnt proved himself yet, and i dont think he will live up to what we all thought he would be last year. Right now i would have brown ranked ahead of fabbro, for the simple reason that brown has that toughness and will to get after the ball all the time. brown has the type of work ethic that all coaches look for in a player.

    Rockhurst sucks!

    From a Center High Yellowjacket!

At least in my time, we knocked you out state in soccer in 88-89, or 89-90, two straight years.

Of course, back when center was 5A, you did kick our butts in the other football. But I'm sure the refs were paid off.

Pretty much agree with what has been said...right now Id take Brown over Fabbro. Somehow he always comes up with a goal when we need it most (overtime @ Rochester), and he works his butt off. Fabbro scores, not as often as he should, and he really doesnt show a lot of hustle. We cant use the excuse "he hasnt been here long enough" either.

Since when do the best forwards "hustle"?

Would you rather have a forward that saves himself for when it counts? I'm not saying Dario is there, but folks still go after Romario about how lazy he is, and how he disappears for 80 minutes a game. All that really matters is how often he puts it in the back of the net.

On that count Dario comes up short.

But all of this "lazy" and "doesn't hustle" crap is pointless. I don't want a player who just runs around and exhausts himself and has nothing left when it counts. If Fabbro produces, then fine. If not,... next.
