Adrien on his way to UAE to play for Al-Wahda after rescinding with Sampdoria. What a career since we sold him for 20 mill and winning the Euro.
He's one of the few times we've sold a player at the right time and for the right amount. Both he and Slimani's sales were favourable (would have rather kept Slimani of the two). His whole career really got ruined by Leicester not registering him in time, killed all momentum. Was £22m
Nani is back in Europe as he signs a contract with Venezia in Serie A until the end of the 2022/23 season Andre Martins signs with Hapoel Beer Sheva in the Israeli league
Probably the most notable Italian to have played at Sporting. Although tbh not necessarily a large number who have done so

Alan Ruiz remember him? Apparently he's set to join Arouca as he's been without a club. Another player that will inevitably score against us now ❗️Alan Ruiz perto de ser reforço do #Arouca . Ex-#Sporting estava sem clube e negoceia o regresso à @ligaportugal . ✍🏼⏳ pic.twitter.com/BvSQBtkkO9— Pedro Sepúlveda (@pedromsepulveda) January 28, 2022
All I remember about this guy is the red car fiasco. Pretty sure I recall he had some shitty bigger than the club attitude.
Stuttgart ended up losing, but Tomas bags a brace. His first start and full match for the club. Hope he keeps it up, maybe the Bundesliga can be a good fit for him 1st goal: https://streamja.com/bwJv6 2nd: https://streamja.com/ZKpbj
I feel like he might do well. Bundesliga plays way more open, here in the Liga it's 90% against park the bus and he needs space.
Yep, he's still 19 and has tons of room for growth. The coach seems to have trust in Tomas, putting him in the starting XI already. The more strikers that come good for Portugal internationally, the better
In his first start for Stuttgart, Tiago Tomás scored a brace in a 4-2 loss to Bayer Leverkusen. If all goes well, Sporting will either be getting €15m from Stuttgart or a much more refined young striker to replace Islam Slimani. Hope he can build on this start. pic.twitter.com/8HMI8LPu97— Zach Lowy (@ZachLowy) February 12, 2022
Diego Capel remember him? He just joined a 2nd division Greek club. At one point he was hyped to be the next big thing in world football.
Still a step up from his previous gig in the Maltese league I guess.... But yeah, Capel has been all downhill since 2013
He was one of the few fun aspects of watching Sporting for a few years back then. Always wish him well.
I remember when people said Raphinha was a bad player for us, couldn't finish etc. Now he's on the brazil team and might be moving to a big club soon.

CAS determined that Lille has to pay us for Rafael Leão instead of the player. It's now up to the clubs and fifa to decide how to reimburse us. With interest, the total is now somewhere around 20 million euros. Lille signed Leão for free after he rescinded unilaterally with us, and then sold him later to AC Milan for 30 million.
