That last goal for CS was horrible defending. I had to laugh.

Jon Bell played all 120 minutes for the Sounders in their upset of LAFC. Good for him.

Kei Kamara, who is now 40!, came on as a late sub for LA

I hope he gets to play in this one. Got stapled to the bench in the 2014 playoff run.

He was on the field the other night when the final whistle blew. He seem integral to the game as well.

Puig did his knee in the semifinal, I think it's a good bet that Diego sees the field

Revs draft pick Jacob Jackson was taken by San Diego in the re-entry draft. The first stage only had three players picked:
    18 - RSL -- Forster Arago
    24 - MN United -- Kipp Keller
    30 - SD - Jacob Jackson

Makes sense, he is from San Diego.

Avery John, works for a consulting firm in their Boston branch. My son works there too. They have bonded over the beautiful game!

This makes me both happy and sad. WCWGCLT? This may be old news, I dunno, but it's neat to see the compilation.

I will be rooting for a San Jose improvement, no matter who the players.

Oof. That hurts seeing Revs legends go to San Jose to work with Arena. It feels like the Revs are hard to connect with right now and we sold our soul to bring in Porter who hasn’t really worked so far.

Porter can be (and is) blamed for a lot, but Joseph wasn't fired to bring in Porter.

Wasn't he fired for having the audacity to voice a personal opinion?

I realize my post got a lot of things all muddled together. It makes me sad to see so many revs legends coaching another team when we haven’t always had the best track record of having great relationships with some of our old players.

Separately, I feel like hiring porter was bringing in a mercenary with a track record of winning but burning through lockers rooms and it feels like he’s only doing the latter which is making it hard to feel connected to the team.

He was fired/pushed/quit for being on the wrong side of a power struggle. Team Arena lost.

Joseph was "fired" as part of the power struggle that led to Onalfo being in charge and hiring Porter.

The fact the ABMOD still has a job here and Shalrie does not still makes me angry.

I hate that SJ isn't here any longer. And the supposed reason given for his firing was leaving the field in Montreal prior to the game there. But yes, it was mostly that he was on Arena's side of the power struggle.

Pretty sure Shalrie resigned, and that both he and DvB both have confirmed that. It was totally fallout from the power struggle, and a huge shame that were stuck with Richie the rat instead of a club legend, but let's not pin this particular detail on revs leadership

    Agreed but...

I'm more excited about the SJ coaching staff than I am about our own. I'm also feeling more optimistic that SJ will see a marked improvement than NE will.

Here is hoping that the SJ coaching staff and all other staff manage to get along happily enough to make some noise in the west.

Even after trading for MAK?

I think we’ll have a bigger jump. Will be fun to watch.
