If you don’t know… you really should. Trusty and Celtic pulled off another SPL title, and they did it in the most chaotic, heart‑stopping fashion imaginable. The final day against Hearts had everything: a pitch invasion, a razor‑thin VAR offside call, and a title race that flipped on its head at the last possible moment. Celtic spent 1-day at the top of the table — the final one — and that was all they needed. Hearts completely bottled it. They came in needing only a draw, but their game plan was unbelievably naïve. Once the second half kicked off, they were torn apart. Celtic smelled blood, and Trusty was right in the middle of everything. After a pretty average season overall, he turned into a monster over the last six weeks, delivering big moments when Celtic needed them most. And let’s be honest — they desperately missed American Cameron Carter‑Vickers, who spent 3/4 of the season out with an Achilles injury. Without him, the back line was shaky, and the whole campaign felt turbulent. It was a rollercoaster from start to finish, made worse by constant boardroom drama. Now the season is done and dusted, and a rebuild is unavoidable. Celtic have been sitting on a massive pile of cash for years, refusing to invest despite having one of the strongest cash flows in Europe. That has to change. The squad needs to be stripped down and rebuilt properly. I think Trusty will be part of that next chapter — at least I hope so. We’ll see how it all unfolds.
