On Tuesday's Soccer Wise podcast, Tom Bogert talked about having former Rapid Stephen Keel playing on his men's league team in New Jersey. Sounds like he's an exceptionally nice guy and teammate.
I concur. Super nice guy. I met him very briefly at two weddings, as we share mutual friends that he grew up playing with in Littleton.. Not sure what he's doing these days but I know at one time Keel was working for MLS in some capacity.
I went to the Loudoun United v Hartford Athletic match this afternoon. Saw Marlon Hairston and Seba Anderson as well as the Switchback's old coach Brendan Burke. Marlon was subbed early but looked good. Seba had a few dangerous passes in the final third.

Looking at the team's website it no longer shows Hudson under staff and his Wikipedia entry has been updated to show him as technical director of the Thai National Team. So he lasted all of, what, a couple of months in the head coach role?
Sound about right.... The real question is did that jet setting dog of his get a promotion, too? Is he the Thai NT mascot?

Brutal second half for Anthony Markanich for MIN vs SEA. Gets toasted twice on Seattle's first goal, picks up a pointless caution, then commits another caution-worthy foul a minute later (literally a minute later) but ref declines to give it. On the positive side, he did head a ball off the goal line to save a SEA goal. In this match at least, he is not better than our current LB options, even though they aren't much.

Former Rapid related..... Shane O'Neil's brother, Mark, who I think is the youngest of the half dozen O'Neil kids, signed an MLS contract with Vancouver until the end of the season with options for 2026 and 2027. Mark's had a MLS Next Pro best XI type of season with Whitecaps 2 starting 24 matches and banging home 6 goals as a centre-back. Best of luck to Mark! He's a great kid that I've had the pleasure of coaching against numerous times when he was at Real CO and I was at what was then FC Boulder.
