FYI, he wasn't talking about Nashville SC, he was talking about the Rapids' MLS Cup team. (Hence the reference to Pablo, Connor, Jamie Smith, etc.) Wally...who was Wally? Amarikwa has a mouth, that's for sure. Get him and Winalda in a room together. But turn off the mics, that would be too much.
Bengaluru FC sign Jamaican forward Deshorn Brown https://english.manoramaonline.com/...u-fc-jamaica-international-deshorn-brown.html
Looks like FC Aarau is currently in 7th place in the Swiss second division. Surprised Gashi didn’t sign with a first division side.
Dillon Powers going on trial with Dundee United https://www.thecourier.co.uk/fp/spo...e-trial-to-american-midfielder-dillon-powers/ To say that's a step down from MLS is an understatement.
Amarikwa made two statements that are pure baloney: "Gary and I hit heads plenty, especially at that time 'cause I was young and wanted to make a name for myself, and he just doesn't play young guys." "But Gary was a big veteran coach, so he’s always gonna play the veteran guys on the weekend. No matter what the young guys did, we were never gonna play." What coach on planet Earth would have started Amarikwa (26 career goals) over Cummings or Casey (27 goals combined in one season in 2010)? Ignoring position, look at the young players Smith used in 2010. Danny Earls was younger than Amarikwa, and played six times as many minutes. Anthony Wallace was younger than Amarikwa, and played more than twice as many minutes. Kosuke Kimura, Wells Thompson, Mehdi Ballouchy, Scott Palguta, and Colin Clark weren't exactly blue haired geezers in 2010, and they all played regularly. Maybe Smith was just reluctant to play a loud-mouthed braggard who couldn't buy a goal when he had two skilled and dangerous options who played exceptionally well together? JMHO.
This. C+C Goal Factory got 4760 out of a possible 5400 minutes for two forwards in the regular season. Of the remaining 640 minutes, Kandji got 337 and the coked-out hamster got 238. Claudio Lopez got 200 and Andre Akpan got 18 (so obviously we had 3 forwards in at times as we had an extra 153 minutes from forwards). So out of the non C+C minutes, Amarikwa got 30% of them.
There was a pretty good Amarikwa "¡Se la perdio!" miss back then, I think that was under Smith. I wonder if the video lives on somewhere. It was nearly as spectactular as Kamara's miss from 1 yard while Kamara was with SporKS.
Anthony Hudson has been named Nats U-20 coach according to Goff Getting word Anthony Hudson is the new U.S. under-20 men's national team coach.— Steven Goff (@SoccerInsider) January 7, 2020
Lmao. I hope playing fewer games is part of USSF's plan for our youth players since they won't be qualifying for any tournaments. Maybe Hudson can "boost" the squad by getting some New Zealand players to make their one-time Fifa switch.
You've got to be f**** kidding me. I saw this morning and thought it was a damn joke. Then I realized the reliable Steven Goff posted it.
The LOL's can keep on rolling: Things Anthony Hudson publicly blamed for his failures in Colorado:- His own players, directly- Lack of effort- Lack of ability- Lack of front office ambition- Lack of DPsNeat. Can’t wait.— Will Parchman (@WillParchman) January 7, 2020 Can confirm this, via multiple sources. Talking to some sources around American soccer this morning, and folks seem less than enthused by the hire. Hudson had a rough go with the Colorado Rapids. https://t.co/1xI9Jdow9R— Sam Stejskal (@samstejskal) January 7, 2020
Holy farking wow. I figured that somewhere somebody would hire this guy but I never figured the next wet paper sack he won't be able to coach his way out of is the US U-20's. Edit: The next U-20 World Cup starts May 20th, 2021 in Indonesia so he's probably guaranteed of another couple years of paychecks. Hopefully this takes AH's salary off the Rapids books.
Depends, who do you think pays more, the Rapids or the U-20s? Because if its the Rapids we're probably still going to have to make up the difference for 2020.
Wow, this is unbelievable. "Hudson had a rough go with the Colorado Rapids." That's the sort of delightful understatement you'd get out of Richard Fleming.
What needs to go along with that quote is then a 1st time coach who's main qualification seems to be that he knew Jurgen Klopp took the same players and front office and ran circles around Hudson.
Hudson to coach U-20 USMNT team? Honestly couldn’t think of a more shocking hire. Called it after a week of being in preseason his Rapid tenure would be a disaster. How could you not target Jamie Franks, Pablo, Wilmer, or Beasley? pic.twitter.com/akA3czJskY— Jared Watts (@JaredWatts02) January 8, 2020
Continuing to get the band back together in Nashville New decade.
