https://www.fcbarcelona.com/en/club...ampaign=70b69560-c3f7-4011-aa12-32d14b55fcff# FC Barcelona expresses its satisfaction with the verdict announced today by Social Court 15 in Barcelona in relation to the lawsuit involving FC Barcelona and the player Neymar Jr regarding the amount of the signing bonus in the final renewal of the player’s contract. The ruling has fully dismissed the player’s claim for payment of 43.6 million euros, and has accepted a large part of the defence presented by FC Barcelona, as a result of which the player must return 6.7 million euros to the club. Since the player’s representative is entitled to appeal this decision, the club shall continue to fervently defend its legitimate interests.

Ten years ago today, Puyol's header gets Spain to first ever World Cup final: https://www.reddit.com/r/soccer/comments/hmul9v/on_this_day_ten_years_ago_carles_puyol_powered_in/
Off a Xavi corner. Those two clearly worked on that play in training because they used it on free kicks when the opportunities presented itself: Scored against LPB in the famous 2-6 victory at the Bernabeu... Nearly pulled it off in Rome in the Champions League final v Man United...... @5:08 of video.
Yeah, almost edited to point out it was Xavi's corner but the #8 seemed obvious to us Barca fans here, but love the added videos and insight. It was years ago (August 9th, 2009) that FCB came to Kezar stadium (before their game at Candlestick with Chivas) and I watched with one of my kids as Xavi and Puyol spent almost 15 minutes of the 90-120 minute practice just kicking long balls back and forth, which was so cool.

10 years ago today, Iniesta's other goal: https://www.reddit.com/r/soccer/comments/hp5gqr/on_this_day_in_2010_iniestas_goal_vs_netherlands/
He called several of them in the last year. Oh no, I think that was the Stamford Bridge Iniesta's, I'm confusing his two golazos for all of history. https://www.theguardian.com/footbal... Andrés Iniesta has,to a spike in pregnancies. Hopefully he is making another round of calls for these kids.

Pedro played his last game for Chelsea today and will join Roma Sure old news but i find it shocking the guy has 5 years at Chelsea
Well that 5 years was a bunch of years/mileage, which is why I'm glad we did not try to bring him back. I know it is tempting to get the player with no transfer fee but usually the player in that case wants extra salary, or extra year on his contract, or even a signing bonus. No free lunches. Moreover he is old and we have to think of minutes for Trincao, Pedri, Fati, Dembele if he stays, etc. We need to get younger, not older Interesting that in Roma he will be with Carles Perez who could've had a Pedro like break through with the first team but instead was sold young (22) to balance books.
Former alum DIGNE at left back on the team of the year. I mean I still don't think he is better than Alba, just younger, and we made money selling him, but then we spent it on Jr. Firpo who we may sell as well? Hard to follow this board's transfer policy but it all starts at the dysfunctional top:
