This one is not surprising. I'm not certain if the CBA grievance would provide cover for Atlanta United to terminate Heinze for cause (and therefore not have to pay out his contract). If that's the case, he'll want to do everything possible to at least get ATL to agree to some sort of buyout.

It does. There's precedents here. The Union fired Pitor Novak for something very similar.

Also, this isn't really thread worthy news.

I want to have a "camp".

Every time something like this happens, we get reports from the coach's "camp". How do you get a camp? I mean sure, I have some buds like anyone else who'd be happy to say mean stuff about someone for badmouthing me. It's just good manners, right?

Are they my "camp" or do you have to have paid lackeys for it to qualify as a "camp"?

I thought he was fired for yelling that a player should go back to the hospital. Or Africa. Or possibly a hospital in Africa. It was never clear.

Where does "camp" fall in the hierarchy of having a "crew" or a "posse" or a "squad" (and what else have I missed)?

I knew there was at least one.

That sounds like it should be at the top of the pyramid.

Before you can have a camp you need to buy a tent. Sigi Schmid had a tent, a very big tent... of course he had made into a track suit, so he didn't really have a camp.

    I know I can't afford an entourage.

Might be able to scrape up enough coin for a crew.

    Camp falls well below "harem".

There was definitely stuff about players being denied water. Oh, and the results were shitty and he traded or sold the previous season's successful team away.

Wasn't he forced to pay after disputing the dispute?

I think it just means that he and some buddies went to sleep in tents for a few days to get away from the stress.
