On Premiership Gamecast today on soccernet.com it looked like we played a 2-6-2 vs. wolves.
    Did we?

No we tried to play the regular 4-4-2, but Gilberto was on the right wing, and out of position all day long, running all over the field. That coupled with Ashley "Roberto Carlos" Cole playing on the front line and the back line, our midfield was quite crowed.

One of the announcers on FSW commented that the pitch at Molinuex was very poor for a premiership level surface, and other sides had been bothered by the conditions, thus their (Wolves) excellent home record.

    i don't know.

And, too, Lauren and Kolo Toure were *regularly* forward, so it did in fact look like a 2-6-2 much of the match. There were an amazing number of people forward most all the time; even our friendly commentator noticed it a couple of times.

I kind of like it. Kolo and Ashley as attacking sweepers almost. Very cool.

I'm not sure what you're all on about. We play an attacking game with the full-backs getting forward as much as possible, especially Cole who has a natural attacking instinct anyway. It has been this way for ages, you're only picking up on it now?

About the surface yesterday, it was pretty soft and cut up a lot, especially around the middle of the field. It looked like hard work for the players to run on it as they were sinking a little bit every time they put their feet down. Fitness is found out on a pitch like that, but it's the same for both sides.

Well, no, it's always been there. The pitch at Molineux just made it more obvious, as did playing Gilberto out on the wing. And Lauren I never saw playing forward quite so much as he did yesterday (even though he's a natural midfielder), even taking throw ins in the attacking third. Usually it's either Lauren *or* Toure, seldom both.
