I just wanted to compare the Mexican league to the big leagues of the continent (Brazil and Argentina) in regards to foreign players.

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

There are 18 teams in Mexico while there are 20 teams in Argentina and Brazil.

A nation of a 100 million and can't produce more footballers.

I honestly believe that if Fuerzas basicas of the clubs were good enough to produce players then we would see clubs reduce the amount of foreigners.

Look at Santos yesterday, they played their bench which includes, MLS reject Johnny Garcia, Juan Pablo Santiago, Andony (I look like Porky) Hernandez.

And one wonders why clubs resort to foreigners.

If your Fuerzas basicas can't produce better players than the ones I just named then you have problems, devoloping talent.

But clubs are not forced to have a decent youth program.

Does Ciudad Juarez and Jaguares even have Fuerzas basicas?

    It really is pathetic

At least we are not MLS yet.

    Chicago - 8
    Columbus - 8
    DC United - 9
    Kansas City - 6
    New England - 10
    New York - 12

    Colorado - 5
    Dallas - 8

    Galaxy - 8

Hamilton, the first togolese in play and be expelled in the Copa Libertadores. But he, nevertheless, has a lot of probabilities of go back to Togo.

Don't know what that has to do with this thread but I believe that 'Togolese' player is really a Brasilian merc.

Hamílton is Togolese because he is naturalized. Since that a player is naturalized, his country of origin is his nationality #2. Guillermo Franco is Mexican, Marcos Senna is Spanish and Hamílton is Togolese. Good luck with your Pachuca.
