I found this website a few weeks back, and I recall Ted saying something typicall reserved and understated like "THAT IS THE GREATEST WEBSITE IN THE HISTORY OF - UM - HISTORY". Or something.

Guys and Gals, read this and be careful if you're at work or are drinking liquids.

And Mike - I only wish that this was farther from the truth. Sadly, I bet I could find a dozen people here on BS who wouldn't see the humor in it.

That is funny as hell. I might be a whiny liberal wimp, but I know funny when I see it.

And you'd find a lot more than a dozen people who wouldn't get it.

Of course, you realize that a lot of them would be conservative types who thought it was really written by a liberal too, right?

    :D

Liberal Larry is awesome, that site is the best I've seen in a long time. I quote it often.

You guys read Liberal Larry's "Bush causes Iran earthquakes" ? It's a classic.

How about 'Bush is alsready suppressing my vote' where he claims the time change last week was a conservative ploy to disenfranchise liberals by having them show up an hour after polls close.

What about his pro socialism column where he rambles on about pies for several paragraphs.

    or this gem:

"I drew myself a hot bath last night and breathed a long, deep sigh of relief. I normally don't bathe, but this was a special occasion, for John Kerry had come within suing distance in Ohio and all signs were pointing towards a complete landslide victory in France"

Or his logic that Michael Moore and Al Franken weren't conascending enough because they only got 48% of the vote and had there been double the amount of sneering they would have gotten 96% of the vote.

    here's another one:

"Tears welled in my eyes as I sat out on my balcony last night, watching the sea of headlights slowly moving north on I-5 towards Canada. "

    and....

""It's the Evangelicals," I told her. "They used gay marriage and abortion to lure the mindless sheep masses away from the really important issues, like legalized marijuana and free condoms for elementary school kids."

Honeslty I am jealous of this guy's writing. I should have thought of it first. I could have posted these on bigsoccer but this guy is damn funny. I wish I was liberal larry.

Hey Ted. Here's a guy for you and topper. It is painful to try to actually read the article, so just skip down to the end and read the last graph.

Cus I don't see a link in your post, however I am on a old computer so who knows.

In the menatime I found another great Liberal Larry entry, this time about the missing explosives:

"Please keep in mind that these are not the fabled Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD's) that Saddam never had, but rather smaller, less pointy, Weapons of Tolerable Destruction (WTD's). They weren't important when Saddam had them and are only dangerous in the context of Bush losing them."

    or better yet:

"Well, I'm back from a wild, four day hunting trip. You heard me right: HUNTING. With a GUN!"

    later......

"UPDATE: Some of my readers have been emailing me to complain that I not only held a gun, but used it to engage in a violent act against our animal brothers. Once again, the right-wing has distorted what I said in order to mislead the American people. I never said that I went hunting. What I said was that I went to a Van Halen concert on Friday night"

Please tell me that Mike did NOT actually say that President Bush "shredded the Constitution"

Don't worry about borrowing from me, comrade lefty. It takes a village. Just be aware that I borrow from Ann Coulter and R. Emmett Tyrell, so you may actually be borrowing from them.

I'll bet that it would be easy money to get him to say that about Reagan, too.

I think I said his adminstration pooped on it somewhere in the politics forum.

I might've said he shredded it too.

He didn't do all of it though. He likes that 2nd Amendment a lot. :p

    <snicker>

Best line from Palast: "So what's going on here? Answer: the exit polls are accurate."

What was that saying about ignoring history again?

Well I know I for one believe that polls that suddenly showed Kerry up by 20 in Pennsylvania rather than ten national polls that had him up four points for six months and his final vote count being about the same.

I think it's only logical to pick the one poll out of 100 that I want to believe and use this as evidence that the books were cooked.

And we can toss in the fact that the same guys, using the same methods were just about equally wrong in 2000 and 2002. No matter.
    Feed the paranoia.

I emailed Liberal Larry asking him for an interview for my blog and here is his response:

"Thanks for the email, I'm usualy too high to do interviews but if I ever come down to earth I'll let you know.

I think Mike heard about the secret GOP platform plank to repeal those pesky 13th, 14th, and 15th ammendments. Allright, who squealed?

Why not use your "Hans Von Fluerbach" moniker and pretend to be a columnist for Democracy Now! and do an interview with Mel Brennan?

The only thing is, babble is only funny for so long. You'd need to find a way to get him to express his opinions clearly and then you'd hit pay dirt.

the weird thing was that because of Hans alot of other sockpuppets started showing up including....

    Hans' Weasel
Karl Heinz Fluerbach (which I later found was Segroves)
    Father Fluerbach
    Fluerbach 2000
Son of Fluerbach (which was me after Hans was briefly red carded)

But Smiley gives me an idea. Mel is a little too new to remember Hans. However I have wondered if Mel was a sockpuppet himself since 99% of his posts are in the politics forum.
