United makes me feel good. Very good. It started me thinking about how good it makes me feel. After a cold shower, I came back to this idea. Where does United rank among things that make you feel good?

Is a United victory better than a really good meal? Is a United victory better than an excellent movie? We know that watching a United game is better than going shopping with the wife, but is it better than going on a romantic date with the wife?

For me, other than sex, both alone and with my wife, and certain other things that I do with my wife (walking, watching TV, playing cribbage), the joy I get from United is better than everything else. I would delay a trip to see my family if it meant I could watch a match. I plan vacations for international breaks, if I can. I would even visit Scotland just to be close enough to Manchester to make another trip to Old Trafford.

I don't think I'm alone in this. Where does United rank in your life?

I'm a late bloomer because I got into Utd relatively late, but the club is very much moving up my list.

This year, I found myself rooting against YA players I really like for the betterment of Utd. That was an odd feeling, so my appreciation for this club is growing!

so, watching Utd win is better than watching one of my YA do well!!!

Well as you can see, I follow other clubs around the world, and I have only been following Manchester United for about two years, but the team is pretty high up there. Specially since it's a lot easier to follow then some of the other teams I root for. (Their games are always on TV, news, etc)

They say that you never know which club you love the most until they actually face each other.. I was a wreck when they faced Roma... Even though they won, it was bitter sweet... But when they got eliminated by AC Milan... That felt 10 times worst... I didn't want to go to work and shit... I work at the World Bank too, so we have all nationalities here... and futbol is king among conversations... So I got teased pretty bad and wanted to punch every one of those ********ers... The rage that built up inside of me, OMG man... But when United won the league this past weekend, it felt damn good.. I went to a DC United game that afternoon after finding out. My first word to my friends was "GLORY GLORY MAN. UNITED!" Their words were "f'k off" ah yes... who's bitter now? Teasing all those assholes at work felt even better too... :D

So you'd rather go for a walk with your wife or watch together a Seinfield re-run on a sunny morning than watch a United game?

No, but I get more enjoyment from those two activities. Right now, my wife doesn't make me choose. (Usually.)

As my wife sometimes reads this forum, I am so not answering this question in full.

I'd say a good United victory is better than an excellent meal with half a bottle of decent red, which is also something I enjoy very much.

The real question for the people on this board is:

    Who isn't whipped?

United is Better than Nearly everything. They toy with your emotions. Football is a strange Game, the sudden release of happiness it can give you in a single moment (for me I'm thinking Portugal-England 2000,2004,2006) or The CL final of 99. The feeling where you just want to jump and shout and just cant control yourself. How many other things can do that in your life.

That's a big question. I'm finishing my final year in undergrad and I do schedule my life quite significantly around United. A couple of years ago I was far more immediately upset United lost the league to Arsenal than breaking up with my first, but United's loss wore off much more quickly than that of my ex...

I suppose I have to say I definitely still put a couple of things and people ahead of United. Sleep, if I have work desperately due. My brother and my best friend if they need my attention. I guess I'm not quite sure how to put a finger on it... but suffice to say I'm probably not as hardcore as most of you here. I don't know.

To me, nothing brings me more joy in life than watching football. That's really my first passion because I started playing at a very young age. A day without it is meaningless but this is about United who rank after football. Since United is my football club, I just about enjoy it more than anything else in life.

I agree with Sirmanc. There is nothing better than watching a good football match, National or Club it is the best thing in earth. Watching United just beats everything, football bloody hell! :D

Man Utd is a part of my life , very important to me , like I cant sleep well if we lose a game thinking about it ,its better then a good meal and most things in the life (heck even exams :D ), its a part of life that without it my life would be incomplete.

I googled for the pic, couldn't find it.

One of the best United banners I've seen!

Sex and then the Who and United are about equal. If only I could combine the two (or three).
