I went on Wikipedia, saw Galton on the assists leader, and knew her name because she went to Hofstra University after I did, and Hofstra is great at Women's Soccer. I root for Man United's men. I don't follow women's leagues, but if I did, I would root for Man United, and even more so with Galton. I have men's clubs I root for a little but that I don't know any of the players on, so I'll Man United's women to that group (with Galton I know one player).
Birmingham have sacked their manager, they are second from bottom: 📝 Club Statement - Blues have parted company with Manager Marta Tejedor by mutual agreement.More ⤵️— Birmingham City Women (@BCFCWomen) March 3, 2020 I have interviewed her this season and she has a certain attacking philosophy and way of playing that does not fit with what Birmingham were having in term of players. That was not adapted to English football unless you are Pep Guardiola and have unlimited funding to have players that fit your system, not with Blues lack of resources. She was probably too ambitious.
Both Chelsea & Man U are making a big push for Pernille Harder for next season(she has yet to sign again for Wolfsburg). Chelsea would l have the inside track since their most likely playing in the CL. If so, I would definitely rate Chelsea the best club team in the world. If you didn’t all ready;Harder is an physical/in your face type attacker than can either play fwd or CAM, I personally thought she was the mvp of Euro 2017, who brought her otherwise underwhelming Danish team right into the finals of that tourney: The downside would be that they would start dominating the league like Lyon does in France
What, does Chelsea suddenly want to be the Lyon of the FA WSL, spending BIG money on top players? If they were to sign Harder after Kerr, they'd be in a league of their own as far as attacking talent, with those two and England. We'll see if it happens. Harder going to ManU would be better for the league--and for ManU!
Chelsea will have to buy out Harder's contract at Wolfsburg(as apparently she is signed for next season) for $300K. Chelsea's coach was in attendance today at the Denamrk-Norway game(checking out Harder or scouting more Norway players, lol) it's been almost like a curse, but usual the top Euro players want to be in the Champions League
The tier 3 and 4 are still allowed to play @FAWNL statement regarding this week's fixtures 👇 pic.twitter.com/OBha47LBSG— FA Women's National League (@FAWNL) March 13, 2020 It is classified as amateur football, so teams can decide if they don't want to play like Watford for example as they train at the men's ground.
In comparison, all organized sport is completely shut down in Norway now. Pro teams, amateur teams, school teams. Not even team training sessions are open.
https://fawslfulltime.co.uk/2020/03...oin-chelsea-or-manchester-united-this-summer/ DANISH STRIKER NO LONGER FREE TO JOIN CHELSEA OR MANCHESTER UNITED THIS SUMMER Danish international striker Pernille Harder no longer has a release clause in her contract with German giants VfL Wolfsburg that would pave the way for her to move to the FA Women’s Super League this summer according to reports from German media outlet Sportbuzzer. The 27-year-old Ikast-born forward is set to enter the final year of her contract at the AOK-Stadion and it has previously been reported that Harder has been the subject of transfer interest from Chelsea and Manchester United. Chelsea are rumoured to have offered a transfer fee of €300,000 for the striker, a sum which would have been a record transfer fee for a player in Germany. It is unknown whether that fee would have been close to triggering an automatic release clause in Harder’s contract, however, it is now understood that any clause includes an expiry date which has now passed meaning that the forward is set to remain a VfL Wolfsburg player next season. Harder could yet be sold by her club this summer, however, it is believed that the decision now sits in VfL Wolfsburg’s hands with the German side in no immediate rush to sell. Didn’t expect Chelsea to pursue her since they already have top strikers and Man United needed one. Would have push the team close to the top. They have good defense but horrible goal scoring.
I think Harder mentioned she wanted to play with her partner so Chelsea makes sense unless Wolfsburg want to bring Eriksson in.
Again; a player of Harder’s stature will want to be a part of something as prestigious as the Champions League(thus she’ll only join a team like Chelsea, which looks like be headed to next season’s CL) or at least that’s a Euro way of thinking few questions for everyone; 1)next to the NWSL, WSL is arguably the best league in the world. But WHY did their players have such lukewarm performances at the last set of tourneys earlier this month? (Your talking not only the flagship England NT, but as well as the half dozen or so on the Dutch, Norway & even Matildas being do subpar) 2) with what’s going to be a major economic downturn for years to come, have we seen the heyday finished for spending in woso?
It is interesting, she is a top player. We will see where she fits and if Chelsea will start to release players as they have two out of contract players in June Asante and Cooper plus many will have one year remaining like Telford who could go.
The League season will be prolonged as per the FA : However, our Board has agreed for this limit to be extended indefinitely for the 2019-20 season in relation to professional football. Additionally, we've collectively agreed that the professional game in England will be further postponed until no earlier than Thursday 30 April. Original rule was all leagues to finish by June 1. With the Olympics 20 and Euro 21 being postponed, it will not be a problem to finish the league later in the Summer.
Leupolz is an top DM, perhaps lower than Julie Ertz, but better than Morgan Brian(in USWNT pecking order). Except for the larger money offer, surprised that another German wants to play in the WSL, as they’ve suffered an abnormally heavy injury rate in this league. There’s no doubt Chelsea trying to compete with Lyon in next year’s CL, but with all the players they got signed for 2020-21. But it’s going ruin a lot of careers being offer stacked like this. I mean Carter, Blundell, Kirby, Telford, Spence were all on the fringes of being on England’s NT, but being just probable bench players at Chelsea will put an end to their chances
FA preparing for possibility top women's teams will fold because of coronavirus https://t.co/ZP2Gu57w3t— Suzy Wrack (@SuzyWrack) March 26, 2020
I am afraid will see a lot of this all over the world in the next months. And not only for women's football teams: it's a global finacial crisis for many other kinds of business.
They took the time to break that second goal down with the angle view from the sidelines, and there was still not at least one mention of offside. I get wanting to be unbiased in your analysis, but don't overly praise a pass to an offside player (don't blame Horan much though) and a player who couldn't get quickly back onside.
