What ever happened to Archie Mcpherson? That Guy knew his football and he was hilarious as hell. He was honest as hell and didn't hold his opinion back. I don't really care for Us American Comm.. they have no cleu and it sounds like a hockey game. He shoots..He scores

Andy Gray... one of, if not the best football commentator of all time (at least in English)

Yeah the guys that do MLS games are sooooo boring. All they do is talk about rediculous stats. Sometimes I think its because the MLS itself is so boring and that explains the lack of commentary.

I think the english guys are very good at it (any of them, really). But my favorite American commentator is Max Bretos on FSW, he is just hilarious! The rest aren't interesting though.

Yeah the American commentators make soccer less exciting than golf.

The best commentators however are the Spanish-speaking ones. Univision had two great ones, one retired though. And FSWespanol has a pair of good ones two. The guy that does the Boca Juniors games is REALLY funny. The thing I like about the Spanish commentators is that they are much more lively and know the players better.

Big Archie ("Weetabix heid") still commentates for STV's Champions League matches in Scotland. He's hated by most viewers though.

Really, I can see why he's hated. he was friggin hilarious calling players and coaches out.. He used to make me lagh when he made fun of Ronald Koeman's "lack of pace"

American commentators rule. British commentators put me to sleep. I hate the fact that they let 90 percent of the game speak for itself. What are commentators for then? The one's on Univision and Telemundo are biased as hell. Max Bretos is full of crap and corny.

  8. Well, I actually watched the MLS final. The comments were so boring. The commentors of the transmission that I saw at Mexico (don't get excited, ESPN even broadcast feminine Bowling finals at Taiwan when they doesn't have anything better) were the same that comments the European soccer. I though they were forced to comment a product that they considered inferior and not worth of them.
