This is a "canary in the coal mine" tell if there were ever one:

Start-up soccer shop Football.com has hired long-time FOX Soccer Senior Producer Nick Webster as its Editor-in-Chief.

Who's the canary; which is the coal mine; and what's the test?

Nick wasn't featured on TV much at all this season as a on screen talent. It wouldn't shock me if he ends up working for Time Warner at their new sports network when it launches in November where he can do stuff in front of the camera and behind it for the Galaxy.

Sure this this for soccer? When I go to the website their is link in the upper right hand corner to a sjop for NFL and college. I do see that there are different languages listed on the page too so maybe it could be for soccer since NFL and college football would not need any other language but english since no one outside English USA cares enough about it.

Are you suggesting that this is the start of an exodus from fox soccer by employees in fear that they might close the channel down due to lose of big soccer rights?

FOX Sports Media Group has U.S. media rights to the FIFA properties for 2015-2022 (in all languages other than Spanish,) English FA Cup through 2018, UEFA Champions League through May 2015, UEFA Europa League through May 2015 (in all languages other than Spanish,) Scottish Premier League through May 2014, and English Premier League through May 2013.

Those soccer products will air on FOX properties in the U.S., but not necessarily FOX properties with the "FOX Soccer" brand.

"Senior" production staff at FOX Soccer worked on UEFA Champions League and English Premier League studio shows originating from the Pico Blvd. FOX lot.

"Junior" production staff at FOX Soccer worked on lower-profile products from sound booths at 1440 S. Sepulveda Blvd. in Westwood (off the 405 Freeway.)
