Atletico with the early goal from a former RM player. I don’t really like early goals though as RM have that annoying ability to get lucky and do a remontada. Let’s see what happens.

Edit: 2-0. Inb4 Atletico implosion. Madrid is so effin bad it’s hilarious. How do they keep getting away with being so bad. Hope Atleti smash them.

They got one back though. Typical Atletico.

Edit: Morata scored again. 3-1. C’mon Atleti. Don’t bottle it.

Imagine Morata gets a hat-trick here. Madridistas will have a fit.

Top of the table where we belong. RM where they belong; always chasing us and crying about the officiating and penalties not given. Not to mention “gifting” us league titles for fun.

Atleti played like prime Brazil NT vs them though, and will surely roll over when they face us. Lmao.

    Victim FC.

Finally Madrid drops some points. Top of the league along with Girona who have had a great start to the season.

Yeah, those dropped points were a long time coming. Though I admit that Barca are also lucky not to have dropped more points than they have. Feels like another season where neither Barca or LPB are dominant enough to reach 90 points in the league, even though they are both on-pace to go well above that atm.

What the Atleti match really highlighted is that the Rudiger-Alaba partnership isn't working out great for LPB.

They are obviously missing Militão and Vin Jr. right now . But still, the couple highlights games that I caught they were still generating plenty of scoring chances. Hit the post like a dozen times. It didn't seem like their form was that bad. I didn't catch the Atletico game but for whatever reason, Carlo went with a different formation taking Joselu out and trying Rodrygo and Bellingham up front.

Vin Jr. should be back soon but Militão is out for a while. So while they may get some offensive power back, hopefully they start conceding more goals in the back that will cost them points.

Yeah, I also don't watch a lot of Madrid games but when your winning streak is characterized by falling behind 1-0 every match (except when you win 1-0 with a late goal) and all your wins are by 1 goal, whether its luck or not, you can expect the streak to come to an end sooner than later. Stats also tend to flatter them because they take so many long-range shots (maybe due to the lack of a #9) and generally have a lot of (meaningless) possession too.

RealMierdridTV put out this video intimidating the ref of their next match

After that ridiculously manufactured video earlier this year claiming Franco disproportionately helped Barça, the RM media gang is officially out of pocket. And so funny how we've heard zip about those allegations about Barça paying for referee reports for years. It all feels more and more like a concerted Madrid campaign to destabilize their rival.

edit: lets not forget years of photoshopped images in AS and Marca to claim missed offside calls or phantom red cards... (Marca was founded in 1938 by nationalists in service to the new fascist state.)

Yeah, they are going that extra step to try and condition the ref.

Unrelated but still media related, the twitter Barca account is so damn cringe. I am definitely not their target audience. I go there to pull the squad lists pre-game and end up catching some of their posts.

Madrid won their match so we are down to 3rd. It looks like Vinicius Jr. subbed in in the 2nd half.

Madrid and Girona play each other next.

Ansu gets his first goal for Brighton. But it was in a 6 x 1 defeat.

It was just a tap in, nothing special.

Catching the 2nd half of Napoli x Madrid game. If that PK is given against Madrid in La Liga they'd be whining about Negreira and Barca. :ROFLMAO:

lol Man Utd. If they can't cruise through that soft group, that might be a new decade low. Which is saying something....

Edit: ManUre 2, Galatasaray 3. First win for the Turkish club on English soil. A bit surprising giving the strong teams they had 20-30 years ago.

Man Utd fortunate that Copenhagen blew a 1-nil lead to Bayern (and also fortunate that Copenhagen and Galatasaray split the points on matchday 1)
