Arsenal losing 1-0. Balogun just had a long shot that forced a decent save. Obviously this team should be campaigning for the formation of a Super League so they can finish last in it.
Hibernian score on a corner, then Arsenal (Lacazette) draw a penalty, which Pepe takes and has saved. Banner day.
Well, they lost 2-1. Balogun had a couple of half-chances that obviously didn't go in. Don't think he was aggressive enough.
Balogun starting a friendly against Rangers today. 🥊 In the red corner...Our team to face @RangersFC 👇— Arsenal (@Arsenal) July 17, 2021
He came off at the half but apparently had a good view of Auba missing three good chances in the first 45... https://www.football.london/arsenal-fc/fixtures-results/rangers-vs-arsenal-live-kick-21077255

Both Aubamayeng and Laca out tonight for our away trip to Brentford. Could be a debut for Balogun in the EPL, likely not starting but maybe coming on in second half

That depends on how you define and rank dark horses. I would say that Scally, Pepi, Paredes, and Clark are all dark horses to make the roster. They are probably bigger on most people’s radars than Balogun, but I think they’re also more likely to make the World Cup squad.

Pretty rare for a guy w/ almost all of his youth experience in a prime Euro NT to bail for the US... but he does have 4 caps and 2 goals for the US U18s. The recent comments about him being a London Boy from Musah makes it seem like a switch would be unlikely... but you never know. But I too think each of those guys you listed have a much higher chance at being on a US WCQ roster. I am flat out amazed at how much talent is coming of age right now for the US. Just crazy. But the CONCACAF is getting stronger/deeper so I am glad there is a lot of ammo to try and qualify.
Arsenal looks like they might be in for a relegation battle. Maybe Balogun can get loaned to a mid table club?
Balogun Has a First Team. It's A-R-S-E-N-A-L: Folarin Balogun at Arsenal FC Or Balogun's on the First Team at A-R-S-E-N-A-L: Folarin Balogun at Arsenal FC
Long story short - He was very isolated, but not great on the ball and was almost completely invisible. Really poor showing from the entire team, so certainly not just on him, but not a great start for him in the EPL
Not the best game. But he got a good run out. Couldn’t handle the physical prem cb’s. And one or two bad touches. I think they should loan him once auba and laca get back.
