I've not read any official confirmation from MLS nor from media sources but while checking the NBC Sports site for Olympics info I found it listed @ 9:30 pm, right after the Timbers-FC Dallas game.

It's up on my Comcast guide. Can't freakin wait. Sweet for the league.

Edit: sadly the FCDvPOR and MLS36 overlaps with the LAvSEA game on ESPN2. Going to have to split time or record one of the two.

    Tough scheduling.

But I'm guessing NBCSN will replay the episode and/or it will be available online somewhere as well.

Yup, a replay at midnight eastern on 8/6 (during the RM/Santos friendly).

And for those who don't know what "36" is all about, here's a blurb from NBCSN's INDYCAR36 episode back in March:

Leading in to their race-day coverage on Sunday will be the first episode of INDYCAR 36 at 1:30 p.m. ET, which features Tony Kanaan and his KV Racing Technology team. Produced by IMS Productions, the show will follow drivers around for 36 hours during race weekends. It's the third of NBCSN's all-access '36' programs to debut, following hockey's NHL 36 and boxing's Fight Night 36.

Damn that is too bad. Originally the LA Sea game was scheduled for 10:00pm which would have been perfect.

The league struggles for ratings the way it is. They can't keep having games overlap.

The only thing that overlaps is NBCSN's new "MLS 36" ancillary content program on its debut night (with the ESPN2 game that night). The games themselves won't (assuming there are no significant delays) overlap that night.

    I haven't seen any details.

But if I had to guess it would be focused on Portland (and/or the Timbers Army), given the game on NBCSN that night. But really, it could be about "36 hours" with anything "Major League Soccer related."

NBCSN never starts games on the hour because they have a long pre game show. Will they be changing that for this one game?

I assumed they were keeping the same format and as such would overlap with the game at 9:00. NBCSN uses a 2.5 hour window for games to allow for pre and post games.

Did you read some where that they were changing the format or were you basing everything on the 2 hour window which NBCSN has never used if memory serves.

ESPN uses a 2 hour window so there is no issue there with the game at 11:00 but NBCSN is going to have to change the format it has used for every game to not overlap the 9:00 game on ESPN.
