I'm hardly an expert on the national cuisine (I do know a thing or two about rhum agricole, however), but based on my very limited knowledge of what they actually consume in Haiti, it's pretty damned tasty. My wife and I knew a married couple back in the day at Indiana University - she from Germany, he from Haiti, but they'd lived together in Haiti - who used to have us over for dinner from time to time. Truthfully, I don't keep much on hand, compared to other styles of molasses-based rum. Right now, I have a bottle of Rhum Barbancourt 8 year old in stock. Their 15 year old isn't distributed in Ohio, which is pretty frustrating. That's one I very much want to try. Presumably, we'll be visiting relatives in Louisville at some point later this year, and I always keep handy a list of bottles I can't get here, but normally can there.
