First debate between VP Harris and Trump...The only one? Tues 10 Sept 2024, 9pm EDT

I think the polls will move a little bit, which would be plenty helpful in this election.

The more important factor here is relative enthusiasm between the campaigns. I don't think Harris has much, if anything, more to prove in order to get Dems in a frenzy. Tonight was sort of her final test. Maybe if there's another debate, but rallying the troops was the objective and it has been met.

On the other hand, MAGA people are fanatical, but the marginal red folks can't be too excited at this point. Their candidate is getting rolled for one of the most insane moments in presidential debate history.

If anything, this is a lesson to all kids out there to study for your tests. You start winging it and, suddenly, you are reduced to screaming about your neighbor's shih tzu getting spit roasted as you try to answer questions about Algebra.

 

I'm not too surprised he lost his mind given that Kamala is a prosecutor, knows how to work a Jury (the audience) and she is a black woman.

He reserves his greatest hatred for black women and having a black woman make fun of his crowdsize, laugh at him when he said things, lecture him on abortion, etc. was inevitably going to make him lose it. He couldn't even look at her, whereas he did look at Biden and Clinton, and the fact that she made him shake her hand, which I'm sure he hated (especially as he wasn't able to wash them until the first break, probably).

It was simply the perfect scenario to make him suffer. And she did it perfectly.

if people are seriously undecided at this point then these folks are truly out of touch with reality.

 

Hard part is done.
Get her to do a town hall in the next month or so and then get everyone to mobilize and have everyone register to vote and double or triple the rallies.

I drove one of the people we support to the airport this morning. She had seen clips of the debate on Facebook, but had no idea what Trump was talking about. So I had to explain the dogs, cats and ducks thing to her. Oh my, the paroxysm of giggles coming from that woman.

I'll remember that for a long time.
