Boston Breakers: MF-F Kristine Lilly, MF-F Angela Hucles, D Heather Mitts.
Chicago Red Stars: MF Carli Lloyd, D Kate Markgraf, MF Lindsay Tarpley.
Los Angeles: MF Shannon Boxx, D Stephanie Cox, MF Aly Wagner.
New Jersey Sky Blue FC: MF-F Heather O'Reilly, F Natasha Kai, D Christie Rampone.
San Jose/S.F.: MF Leslie Osborne, D Rachel Buehler, GK Nicole Barnhart.
St. Louis: GK Hope Solo, D-MF Lori Chalupny, D Tina Ellertson.
Washington Freedom: F Abby Wambach, D Cat Whitehill, D Ali Krieger.

I love Hope Solo and Natasha Kai, but it seems like we've gotten a pretty good mix.

Though I think we need to warn them now to keep Garrett VERY far away from Heather Mitts.

seems like Boston got a raw deal. Lilly is what 36 and also has a newborn? How much longer will she be around? I guess the hotness of Mitts makes up for it;)

I agree. I think KL is on the short list of greatest women players ever (not just greatest American women players), but I'd rather see her managing the team at this point. Hucles is fine, and (sorry, but) I've never been that impressed with Mitts's game. IIRC, Breakers had just acquired Aly Wagner when the league folded.

As a member of the Boston Breakers supporter's group The Riptide I will be sure to stomp on Garrett if he starts bothering our team members. :D

I have no interest in being in the midst of a riptide. Sounds smelly.

I love how, before I had a chance to get to a computer and see the results, I knew Boston's allocations because I got a text message from Garrett: "How much are Breakers season tickets?"

It's an old but solid group of players. Not anything to build around long-term, but something to get us started on the right foot.

Time to call all the guys who have told me "I'll get Breakers season tickets if they get Heather Mitts" ...

I'd take the inagural breakers allocations over Beppe, Lalas and Burns. Soccer wise, they made out better.

They had, but they traded Angela Hucles to get her.

I think I'd rather have Hucles. A little disappointed we also didn't get to keep the chronically underrated Kate Markgraf.

They're just defaults for now. There were three light blue and four white jerseys at the event.
