Pathetic Fire News 7/3 The Tribune had a big article today about baseball players' wives. And a paragraph on the Fire game. I'm not saying that the team's recent accomplishments warrant any more coverage, but to get a mere paragraph in one of the major papers on game day is unacceptable. Here's what I'd like to see happen: In the event that this team begins to play like professionals and to deserve some coverage, should the press situation remain so crappy, we all file out of NSF after a victory and march down Michigan Avenue to the River. Then we congregate at the square outside the Tribune and sing Fire Chants while carrying signs demanding appropriate coverage. Then we all go to the Billygoat and raise hell in there. And have a burger. The we commit ritual suicide in the Chicago River. In the event that we keep up our current impotent form, let's just go for the ritual suicide part and forget the rest.
