They really slimmed down the UI. :)

Really, the only thing that took a while to get used to is the new "check for updates" which has now been buried in the "about" screen.

Jeremy, unfortunately I have XP. IE9 is not an option. (I'm sure there's a way to spoof something, but I haven't found out how yet.)

It's pretty damn nice. On Linux the Moonlight plugin (for Silverlight) actually works now. I'm able to watch all the Silverlight content on the MLS Soccer website for once. It's a bit of a resource hog but it FINALLY works.

Does anyone know if there is a Firefox option or add-on to have an font size option on the browser as IE does, rather than having to click on view and then zoom in or zoom out?

I have searched to no avail.

Thank you Toon. I just learned something new. ;)

Nevertheless I should have stated what I am actually looking for more clearly.

What I am looking for is a way to increase/decrease the font size without having to use the keyboard. I'd prefer to be able to do so using only the mouse, while at the same time not having to click on the menu option "view" "zoom".

I can currently do this with IE, but not with Firefox.

It seems much faster, but I now am on Opera, and it seems impossible to remigrate the data :-(

Yes, firefox 5 has arrived. In the past, release dates for major versions were notoriously pushed back, but apparently, they're trying to match Google's rapid release dates.

Apparently, version numbers don't mean as much as they used to. Differences between 1 and 2, as well as 2 and 3 used to mean something big.

If there was a 4.1 and a 4.1.1, or even a 4.2, people wouldn't upgrade as fast. However, more people would be tempted to upgrade to 5, even if the old system would have meant 4.2 instead of 5.

Hell, the nightly build versions are already on early versions of 7, and i'm not sure what's different...maybe a lot of "under the hood" stuff.

But if we use add-ons this is kinda irritating .. Even between 4 and 5 I've experienced incompatibility issues with a few add-ons such as Adobe and Google and also I had to do upgrade on some others.

Try the "Nightly Tester Tools" extension.

This is my problem with it. I use FF for the most part because of very helpful add-ons. These quick upgrades are leaving many of them behind. I also have experienced incompatibility issues that I have had to track down as well as occasional crashes that I haven't figured out yet.

Exactly, Chrome is just to much and it's too good.

I stick with Addon Compatibility Reporter and/or manually edit the install for a few add ons that just need changes to maxVersion in the .xpi. You'd be surprised how many incompatible ones work fine with that change.
