Two worst teams in the East class in "Music City"

Very late game day thread. I am teaching and my class is on break, so I have to be as quick as possible.

As seriously dreadful starting 11 for the Fire.
    Cuypers is out.
    Gutierrez on the bench.
    Koutsias and Barlow are in.

    Feeding this thread....

3-5(M)-2 with Gimenez as CDM/6 and Kellyn + Fabi as dual 8s.

WTF!? Two game day threads on a Wednesday no less. I thought the season was over. When will Gregg be hired and hamstrung being forced to keep a lot of the technical staff. Ugh.

    Let's go Fire!

I figured @xtomx was out on another bender or something? I mean...it was about a half hour to kick off. Anyway, glad he arrived with the goods.

So are we to assume Fabi is pulling the strings in the center of the park tonight? No Guti on the line up sheet. I'm not sure what to expect from this one but the important thing is I bought some Twizzlers for this event. My wife calls them wax heartburn sticks with 25% extra heartburn. She's not wrong.

If Fabi is pulling the strings, then maybe he will be too far upfield for his normal yellow card. Although, the same could be said for Acosta.

I guess Barlow and Koutsias go the full 90 unless Mueller comes in for one of them.

Gut feeling is MHS w/should move up top to replace whichever striker comes out, and Arigoni or Reynolds would go in at wingback.

That said, it wouldn't be tactically far fetched to see Guti or Mueller get a 20min run up top. But...can Acosta go 90? Will need Guti or Mueller to tag in for him.

I was honestly a little pissed when I saw we had a game tonight. Because sports fandom is such that my immediate reaction is to think ‘I’m watching!’ even though we know better. I think Koutsias and Barlow both score again and someone else adds another for a 3-0 Chicago win.

See? Being a sports fan is a sickness. I honestly believe that this result is possible.

Let's hope the three CMs keep Hany off the scoresheet tonight. I do not want to see another hat trick from him.

I'm hoping to see something out of Lassiter tonight as well.

Nice run into the box by Fabi, and he got off a decent cross...just no one there.
He looked like Fabi 1.0...which can be disruptive to defenses.

I see that the Fire still have no ideas on how to breakdown a defense when the ball gets near the 18. I expect lots of right wing play since the Fire cannot seem to move the ball except for side to side.

Which Fire player will take this game by the balls, put the team on his back, and fight for a goal. I don't see it from anyone tonight. It would be nice if Acosta or Herbers did that.

20:15 Acosta can't move his cement shoes enough to deny the pass and then can't get the tackle and then gives up...

That dude really needs to show something better than that...geez.

Fire can’t even fúchkin pass. They give the ball straight to Nashville.
