True, but the Fire have "shown up" for about 20 minutes this season. Fortunately, it was the last 20 minutes against Montreal. That's about it.
At this point, do we feel sorry for Cuypers? I mean, the big pile of money he sleeps on probably cushions some of his disappointment, but he could be with a much, much better team that us.
Wait, Gimenez was playing tonight? Scarcely noticed, but he was only out there for 15 minutes. "Mighty" Tom Barlow into the game. Three goals a-coming. (What, so the Fire lost 6-0?) Wait a damned minute! With Koutsias already in the game and Barlow coming into the game... Does this mean that the Fire are playing with more than one striker?!? Is that allowed?
This match is STILL going on? Seriously, why bother? Koutsias with the goal. OFFSIDES...of course Actually, looks like the correct call, unfortunately.
If Klopas sent Gimenez in knowing he was hurt, that's an egregiously fireable offense. Pete (felt worse for Gaston than Fede)
Somebody needs to get this team a bucket of ‘try’. Listless, passionless performance out there. After Shaq left, few players looked like they cared. Souquet sucked but at least was getting upset about us losing, Gaston was out at halftime warming up presumably knowing he’d come in, Brady gives a damn but needs to let his back line know where he is, and Mueller appeared to be trying but that’s about it. The rest of the team might as well have been replaced with traffic cones. What an embarrassment.
I think this is the first time in over a decade that I have left the game early. Pete (gave up around the 75th minute)
The kiddo and I left at the 80th minute, first time leaving early for us too. Have waited out lightning delays and tornado warnings before but this game was over at halftime and honestly would’ve turned it off then if I was at home so I feel like we should get an award.
Traffic cones would have lost 3-0, and not given up that first goal to Gomez. The defenders actively moved away from him to give him room to collect the pass and set up. Traffic cones would have held their ground
I was close to turning it off at the 80th minute, but left it on, just so I could comment on the suck.
I've left early maybe a dozen times in 2 1/2 decades. Tonight was one of them. I bet Justin Reynolds hates not making the bench in Lugano, which (BTW) is 3 points out of first and in line for a Champions League qualifier, AND in the Swiss Cup semi-final. I bet Victor Bezerra hates scoring tonight for Detroit City.
So many disappointing things The 2 jarring things RSL had (in large amounts) that we had none of… SPEED and BLOODLUST RSL looked like a team that will make a run at the cup this year…
I just want to be done with Fabian Herbers. 5 years of bricks for feet, zero soccer IQ or decision-making, ZERO final product, and zero creativity in midfield.
RSL didnt have a CB on the field today. 2 FBs playing make-shift CB. Cuypers couldnt win a duel to save his life tonight
