Own Goal scores 2-0 Fire Own goals second of the season, one goal behind leaders Stojanovich and Aliseda
No. At this point in the match, he must do better with that nice service he received in front of the goal mouth. Not like it was a sitter, but he needed to get a shot off.
Frustrating loss- err, tie, tonight. Ref err, DC, got the better of us. I don’t think anyone said the move to Soldier Field would fix everything, but at least it fixed our shitty location problem ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Bornstein pulled a Kappelhof. Nice to see Ivanhov. Gimenez had his best game for us. Navarro isn’t good. Beric and Offor are not good.
If you posted this before the game it would have saved me the trouble to attend. Then again, I should have known these things already.
Overall I thought the game was plenty enjoyable. We know we’re not a great team but Gimenez had a good performance. Sekulic and Frankowski team up well and are fun to watch. We just have no striker but the lead up is becoming really fun to watch. A striker would both enhance the lead up and put away the results. So maybe we’ll have one show up.
Yeah- it was a fun and entertaining game for the most part, no complaints there. If the team is going to suck (and they are this year, obviously) I would much rather they suck wand entertain me than suck and bore the snot out of me.
Are we 3 DP/TAM level players (striker, a play maker, and a center back) away from being a decent team? If Beric & Kappelhof are two of those three, then who is the third?
Beric, Gimenez and Aliseda are the three DP. Gimenez has been bad (save for last night) since the day we signed him. Beric has been worse than bad this season, but was the bright spot last season. Aliseda has only shown us anything good in the past month or so. We should be able to easily upgrade from Gimenez and Beric (although I am quite ready to give up on Beric...yet). Aliseda is so young we have yet to see the best of him yet (I hope).
We have to wait on Aliseda. We have to motivate or move Gimenez. We have to replace Beric. Me can rely on Medran in the middle if we fix those issues.
That may be true but as I told a friend during the game, watching him was a bit like watching Emerson take over for Spinazzola during the Euros. He’s bad at defending and not good at offense. I don’t mean to be harsh and I don’t know his salary. He just seems like the kind of player that makes it more difficult for the team to win rather than making it easier.
yeah, that's fair, I guess I just don't blame the guy for being put in the bad spot, I blame the guys that didn't ensure a better option
