    Gutierrez off for...Espinoza???

    Ezra going for the draw!

And, just like that, I take back what I wrote.

    Herbers with the goal.

Espinoza buries it after the fact, just to make sure.

Of course the simplest way to for us to score is cross it from the top of the box for a 15-yard header.

Now, they are testing the DC goalkeeper with a "concussion test."

That's not fair, just because Herbers actually scored a goal is no reason to text the goalie's ability to see.

Well, it was Herbers first goal since September 27, 2020 (first goal in 46 games played), so maybe checking the eyesight of the DC goalkeeper was warranted.

Why oh why wouldn't you put Offor in up top? Make an ATTACKING sub and keep them on the back foot and kill a minute? Management 101!

Przybyłko's positioning is much worse than Beric's.

Ezra is still on Management 090, Remedial Management... the U-17 level.
If he passes, he can enroll in Management 101.

    Teran on for Gimenez.
Pineda on for Omsberg, limping off the pitch.

No attacking sub to keep them on the back foot and kill a minute.

The Fire win for the first time since March 19th!

    Win without Shaqiri and Torres.

Damnit, all I had to do was change “early” to late and I would’ve won the free shot of Malört for a perfect prediction. Still pretty damn spot on.

Honestly a head scratcher taking Guti off for Espinoza- he was one of our most dangerous attacking players (not saying much but still) showed great vision, and hustles and plays both ways while Espinoza is just… eh..? Also, WTF with Pryzybłko? At one point it looked like Mueller was imploring him to play further up where, you know, a striker should be! Such a frustrating dude and another thing we noticed at the match was that he kept losing headers to shorter players that were behind him!

Oh, right, we won- lol. Mueller looked great, really great pickup, and damn, our back line with Giménez and Fede in front of them will be a problem for teams if they can stay healthy- hopefully Omsberg is okay after having to come off late. Ezra did well in believing we could win without Shaq and Torres- really want to see what the team is capable of if fully healthy with a chance to click. As it stands though, yeah, DC sucks, so while a win is great, we got a long way to go still and an uphill climb. Fun game to be at - missed the team during the break.

I had more fun during the game talking to people and my journey back home was a whole lot more interesting than anything that happened during the 90 minutes.

    But, three points, I guess.
