Bear games interfere with 10/4 game against LA

However, 10/11 against Colubus and 10/18 against Colorado will work.

Any idea which part of the metro area?

How are the games going to work at Soldier cause the Bears play at home on 10/5.

How does a Bears game interfere with 10/11 against Columbus? Bears are away on 10/12.

It looks like both 10/11 v. Columbus and 10/18 v. Colorado will work for SF.

However, I am concerned about the playoffs.

We'll have conflicts with the playoffs on 11/1 and 11/15. If we make the playoffs, what would that mean? Would we have to move those games to Friday night or something like that instead of playing on Saturday night?

Chicago is AT New Orleans on 10/12 -- so the only conflict is the 10/4 game (and possibly a couple playoff games).

The bears play at home on 10/5 but are away 10/19 so only the 10/4 game will have to be moved to a wednesday.
No idea on which community Peter was talking about.
Got back from fire luncheon had Faria at my table and I must say a very personable intelligent guy he seems to be. He said this team seems much more like a family than the metros.

My guess is the soon-to-become LA wednesday match will be the Int'l doubleheader.

Merging this with the other Bears schedule/fire in SF thread.

My first reaction, looking at this, is the only real conflicts that arise is the LA game (which will probaly be moved to a Wednesday and made a DH, in my estimation. Maybe a Friday, if they can convince the Bears) and God willing, hosting the MLS Cup Semi. The first round we can work with the other team to make sure we get a Saturday night home game if the initial scheduling conflicts.

    But, this is great news.

A Wednesday doubleheader would mean the first game starting pretty early and mixing the game traffic with rush hour, or ending around midnight, but I guess it is doable.

One thing to keep in mind, the Bears can now nix Wednesday events prior to a sunday home game. I would think they would work with us for Wednesday games, but I can't see them agreeing to a Friday game.

For the MLS Semi (God willing :) I like that), I am assuming that we would have to move to Monday night after that weekend. Moving to Wednesday before would be too close to the quarter-final 2nd leg.

Unfortunately, the Bears schedule will come out every year about this time, except that in the future, we will have to juggle dates from mid-August through the playoffs.

Yeah, but they could nix friday games before, and if you recall, we had at least one very prominent Friday night playoff game in the past before a Bears game.

Another thing I completely forgot about:

Aren't we supposed to have a "re-inaugural" match against Morelia in SF at some point this season?

I bought a flex plan this morning. My season ticket agent also said that the idea is to hold a Wednesday double-header.

Hopefully they can hammer this out. I am really happy that any money I spend at Soldiers Field will now have some positive economic impact on the teams bottom line, out side of season ticket purchases!!
