For the record I didn’t say zero confidence I said none of the confidence we had under Bruce. Bruce led teams frequently had the best defense and the best offense in the league. And I fully admit and have done in the past that my criticism the team’s strategy of only playing for 45 minutes isn’t a long term success has been proven wrong over the course of the season. I still don’t think it’s the type of team to win MLS Cup. But that was true of the 2005 team under Steve Sampson. Cobi and Landon put the team on their back and we won our second. I hope to be proven wrong some more.
I finally got around to watching the Eric Idle song. Thanks - cheered me right up! (Not about the Galaxy - I love this Galaxy team and my critiques of Greg’s defensive coaching don’t change that.) Just cheered me up in general. The beliefs behind the Bright Side of Life mirror mine exactly. Life and death are shix but also inevitable, so why worry about it? Because if you think about it deeply there is not a lot at stake, is there? So we need to just laugh and have fun with what we are given! (Note to self: Need to remember this more often!) Btw, Ive been a Monty Python fan since the 70’s. He’s not dead….he’s pining for the fjords! NO ONE expects the Spanish Inquisition! Our weapons are …
I'm not putting the work in but I'd love to see the above stats without dead ball goals (corners and free kicks and pens).
Off Topic I know, but Considering I didn't bring up Monty Python in the first place (cough cough). I heard that all of the guards were extras hired for the skit and they weren't given advanced warning for anything, other than "try your hardest not to laugh". So my guess is that once they saw a moment where the guards were about to break, they took that one moment and ran with it.
Not a cut on you at all - I absolutely love most of the work of MP. I just have different tastes than my sons’ generation who grew up with Beavis and Butthead.
I grew up with Beavis and Butthead and still enjoy MP. I have a very eclectic taste in humor Also, if you enjoyed Office Space, its the same humor as B+B, Mike Judge created both.
