The correct answer is that @StillKickin and @Geneva are both incredibly awesome, so it’s easy to get them mixed up.
I don't know a whole lot about Toronto, but I do know Vanney often experimented with different line ups. He used to use the 3-4-3 for a time, he also had Giovinco as a pseudo #10/striker in a 4-4-1-1, and this season has bounced between a two striker and 1 striker formation. Either way, Vanney seems to know that a striker needs either a partner, or a quality CAM like Giovinco who can score as well.

I don't know about this. Yes it's awesome for Trickhog and his family but what's in it for us? I'm going to miss his instant replies, reps and his 24hrs a day, 7 days a week availability. Ok, I won't tell as long as you don't tell anyone I would have been 47 based on my listed 1999 join date. Hard to believe! In fact I'm pretty sure I joined before that because I remember using BS to find a soccer bar in Pasadena to hang out in before I went to the US vs Colombia game. I know the BS server crashed at some point and lost everyone's records.
I remember people making bogus person to person calls like this back in the late 50's and early 60,'s when long distance calls were very expensive especially given the much lower average incomes back then. My cousin, a marine corporal at Camp Pendleton, used to call and ask for himself when he had a weekend pass and wanted to get out of Oceanside. If my mom said, he wasn't home but expected later it meant come on up.

Yes they probably cancelled the press conference to run out and buy baby gifts (For those interested, TrickHog is registered at Bed Bath and Beyond, FIlmtools.com, and the LA Galaxy Team Store - kidding!) I could see waiting on an announcement for maximum press hype for ticket sale, etc - but you'd think if that was the case something credible would leak before the announcement.
