I never once paid for parking in Bridgeview. Parked at FireStation pub at Harlem/63rd and walked. No problem.
If they signed onto the Bridgeview deal without SF sewn up, we are dealing with the biggest idiots in the world.
So, is this still happening? I scanned the last ~10 pages of this thread. I've also looked for an announcement from the hauptmans or from the league office on the league site, but I have to admit I'm coming up empty. Thanks.
Coming up empty? That is the current status of the Chicago Fire leadership. Don't expect an announcement soon. This team is why there should be relegation in MLS.
According to my season ticket rep, the final details are being ironed out, so basically what you said. Also, there is a chance of another year in Bridgeview.
You're all too pessimistic. I'm just going to assume Lightfoot is going to announce tonight that the budget deficit will be closed by the Fire's 2020 rent.
Historically STH renewal starts happening ear/mid September no ... I would expect this SF talk to come to a head very soon, with an official announcement in Sept. I haven't made up my mind if I'll renew. We have attended 10 games so far and plan to attend the TOR game.
I spoke with my rep about this earlier this week. They are waiting to see what happens (as no contract for 2020 has been finalized!).
Just a reminder: https://www.nwitimes.com/sports/loc...cle_0a020f40-0a58-59e1-ad28-3102ace38117.html All of the wounds were self inflicted because of Hauptman’s cheapness.
But they could have bought back the rights at any point in time. The village wanted a predictable revenue stream more than maximum profit. The Fire could have worked the situation for maximum profit at the risk of a steady payment to the village. The Fire failed.
Just watched the highlights of the Club America and Chivas game from Soldiers Field. Park District made a ZERO attempt at removing the football lines/numbers and logo's. This is the kind of SHIT we will have to deal with if we return to Soldiers Field.
C'mon now... You can still see the sideline striping and the end zone paint, but honestly it looks fine considering the Bears played 3 days prior and the hash marks and yardage striping is barely noticeable at all... I can get the complaints that you're going to have residual field issues like this, but to say they didn't make an effort to wash it out is just silly... and I'm no fan of SMG's normal work.
