Lets face it guys, the Bob Bradley experiment has been a disaster.

    Lets contemplate:

No new, young American talent enfused into the team.

    We don't have a playmaker.

When we lost Howard, we never found a goalkeeper capable of stepping in and playing well for us.

Our coach is far from being considered a possible heir apparent to Arena and the national team program.

We haven't solidified our backline at all.

Players like Lisi and Wolyniec haven't developed at all.

We are capped out for next season and can't make any key additions at all.

We definitely did not improve over a team last year who had "more talent" then our current crop.

We didn't have a good regular season record and qualify for the playoffs.

    Oh wait.

I would NOT be quick to fire Bradley. I want him around for another couple of seasons.

Gaven, Magee, Clark... they all show good promise. Gaven and Clark are two players I wouldn't be scared to start.

Guevara was supposed to fill in that role. Though he's no Valdaramma, there is a difference when he plays... The Metros are even more impotent when he's not playing. I still would like to get a better playmaker. Maybe not to replace guevara but maybe play alongside him.

I think Walker is doing a Great job! We weer lucky to pick him up.

I think it's too early to make this judgement.

Yeah, that needs development. I like Pope and Jolley, but we need better defenders on the wings. there was miscomunication between Pope and Clark in Sat's game that resulted in a goal, but I'm not ready to burn Pope on that. I've seen Jolley get burned/outrun by forwards (Noonan and Ralph) but they guy's a workhorse... I'd keep him and see how he does next year with a better developed back line.
Agreed. Wolyniec runs his @$$ off but hardly has much to show for it. His goals this year had more to do with luck than skill.

Well at least that's my take

Soccertes, you need to get that sarcasm detector fixed..

Me thinks Simon was merely getting a jump on the "sky is falling" fans that inhabit these boards by mocking them..

when would you say " the sky is falling !" ?

i knew Bradley is a defensive coach, defense first safety then offense, the guy has been aroiund MLS from day one, he is pretty good at what he does, ...but for some reason he hasn't been able to make this team click, it all comes down to his defensive strategies holding players back. We need to send him a T-shirt that reads,
" Ofense is the best Defense"

next year ,at this time, if no signifigant improvements have been made..

Look, people have to realize that simply sacking the coach after a subpar performance isnt a;ways the solution..

Barring a season like Dallas or Columbus, simply rotating in and out of coaches at a frantic pace isnt the answer...

Give him one year to make offseason changes, see how they work, and then call for his head...

Simon, calm down. If your arguement is right,
most of the MLS coaches would have be fired
    10 times already!

Simon's post was intended as an ironic dig at some of the Metro fans on the board calling for Bradley's head. His intent was to satirize their hysterical ramblings by debunking them with humor, and ending with an overt admission of facetiousness as he did is called "the art of listener attention".

Read some Oscar Wilde or Kurt Vonnegut to familiarize yourself with this fairly commonplace literary device and its place in literature.

Indeed. We are Metro, are we not hip to all things sarcastic? Are we not sellers of Brooklyn Bridges? Are we not Sinatras in disguise?

Guys, I gotta tell ya -- sometimes I wonder.
