Well he personally kept several food vendors at AF solvent, so there's that. Oh, coaching? tactics? Well he is the coach and tactics are what he doesn't understand.

I, for one, am tired of the new regime.

Can't pretend I like Ashton but given our current roster (injuries included) the only change I'd make for the next game is starting Paredes and Kamara over Rivas and Odoi-Atsem

I'd start Paredes over Asad and Flores over Sorga, but yeah, Kamara was better than Rivas, though still not as good as we need him to be.

DC has earned 27% of its points in the last two games under Ashton.

i want us to continue playing with two forwards, and I don't want Flores to leave the midfield by playing him in Sorga's spot. Starting Paredes over Asad makes sense only if you think Asad might need a breather after going 90'.

I do want Flores to leave the midfield. I'd like to see him play more second striker with freedom to work in that left side Espindola zone that he seems to like to do.
And I would start Paredes over Asad on the wing as a rule, but that's just me.

I can't see Ashton moving Asad away from the center of the park for a while. His best two games of the season were the last two playing the 8 role.

Absolutely, Asad seems to have found his game in the middle. Flores needs to up his game big time. Last game he just floated on the wing instead of cutting inside -- one sequence in particular he moved further outside and gave Cincy time to reorganize its lines. I'm not saying Flores is a bust, but he's not showing much either and certainly not for what he is being paid.

Agree that Asad has played his best in these last two games, and that maybe he's the best thing we have going as an 8/10. But he can't play two games a week there, every week, or he'll break down. The guy needs a break. I think the second best performance at something-like-the-10-spot we've seen all year was Paredes vs the RB, unless it was Reyna as a false 9, but he's MIA.

I'd also like to see Flores play up top. I haven't been unduly impressed by his transitional play in midfield. Maybe this is a way to get him going.
