Bank of Bridgeview stadium or some such. That is the smaller local sponsorship I was afraid would land on PHP.
I give Bank of Bridgeview about 2 years before they are bought out by Chase or Wachovia. Then they drop the naming rights because it doesn't "fit the business model".
"Chitcago Fire" is a trash name to itself. No garbage and waste sponsor needed. There enough garbage and waste on the team to pollute their crappiness on the field.
Anyone have the correct link? edit: Nevermind, found it on their front page... http://www.dailysouthtown.com/southtown/dsindex/29-ds3.htm btw, that is a nice little sum, and one can complain about PHP all they want, but I agree that a rather small local business sucks for a corporate sponsor, unless they do get bought out my a major bank and renamed using that bank. MLS is trying for "National" and "Major League", right? People know Pizza Hut at least across most of the nation.
Bridgeview Bank is a small family owned bank, so I would see very little possibility of them being bought by a national bank.
May I introduce you to the thousands of families that are now vacationing in the Carribean who sold their small local banks to the big boys for major $$$.
Bank of America and Chase have entire divisions that do nothing but scout, procure, and assimilate these small, family-owned banks.
There was a whole bunch in Florida when I was in college. I had to change banks three times to stay ahead of it.
Last I checked both banks are public companies and have to report such transactions. TG, I think you are remembering the merger between BofA and Nations Bank. Which was actually the purchase of BofA by Nations and that's why they are hdq in Charlotte and not California.
Perhaps. But my guess is may be waiting until the MetroStars get their stadium. Waste Management is a natural for New Jersey.
No...I'm older then that. That merger happened in the late 90's. I'm talking about small regional banks. Consolidation in the banking industry has been gonig on for 20 years and won't be stopping anytime soon.
Rep for you sir. GF you should listen to NPR more. I remember them doing a whole segment on this last year.
