Biggest Serie A match of the season so far? Unquestionably. These are critical points today, considering our place in the table. Apparently Il Mister is tired of all of the discussion around him becoming the new Italy boss as well. Preview here. Quick formations: FIORENTINA (4-2-3-1): Frey; De Silvestri, Kroldrup, Gamberini, Pasqual; Montolivo, Donadel (Bolatti); Marchionni, Jovetic, Vargas; Gilardino. ROMA (4-2-3-1): J. Sergio; Motta (Cassetti), Mexes, Juan, Riise; De Rossi, Pizzarro, Taddei, Perrotta, Vucinic; Totti. FORZA VIOLA!!!
Ugh, a second look at the table shows that heading into the match we're closer to relegation than to the top 3. We've played 2 fewer matches than most other teams, but keep in mind that those 2 matches are against Roma (today) and Milan (coming up). Two of the top 3 clubs in Italy. I'm not optimistic.
No joke. Mister was really playing up roma's quality heading into this match, so hopefully they come in arrogant. Looks like Toni is out?
LEAGUE IS RIGGED.
This is what we get for having one tactic for attacking the goal. Go wide, flight the ball in, hope for the best. I'm sick.
Piss off. Suddenly the goal of this season is mere survival. We look more likely to be relegated than finishing in the top 4.
My thoughts have turned to wondering how many of these players we're going to have to sell this off-season because we haven't qualified for Europe. Gila? Vargas? JoJo? Monto? Gamberini? Frey? Who? I've rarely been this upset after a match. Just completely, unabashedly unfair. And seeing the romanisti (many of whom shouldn't have been in the ground to begin with) in the stands celebrating just killed my spirit.
Your crowd is dull, and they should have never let in those Roma thugs. The league is rigged, Roma is guaranteed a spot in the top four. They're trying everything to help Juve now.
I don't think the crowd is dull at all. You're right though - we should have never let the romanisti in.
are we really that shaky with money that we will have to sell players in order to keep from going in the red?
I could only hear the Roma tifosi, sorry, but that's not good enough. Your fans need to create a hostile atmosphere, like ours.
Thats firenze and the fiorentini.......I lived there and their fans always seem to be the same year in and year out.......
