I have not gotten any information on how the Azurri played, whether or not they pressed the attack or fell back on the dreaded catenaccio. Any thoughts?

By most accounts (I didn't watch the whole game but listened to it), it was a flowing match with lots of attacking by both teams. Definitely not an easy win for Italy, but well-deserved. They didn't bunker until the very end perhaps when it was 2-0. But Finland had sort of given up at that point.

Sept 6 in Italy. I don't know if the location is set yet, but I read that it's likely to be at the San Siro in Milan.

I watched the whole game at my granfathers house on RAI international the azzuri controlled not dominated most of the play. They showed there superior passing, dribbleing(a little too fancy at times causing missed oppurtunities) and proved they were the better team not just on papper but on the field.

Totti's goal came off a beatiful pass from Panucci and Francesco wasted no time one timeing the powerful shot into the back of the net.

Del Piero's goal came from a long lead pass from Totti, racing down the left side of the pitch Alessandro wonderfully placed a shot into the upper corner of the near post.

Yes, yes! Totti with the first goal and an assist on the second. That's what I love to hear! And none of that catenaccio propaganda the haters love to spread. The Azzurri play a pretty good attacking game when they want to. With all those egos up front, how could they settle down and defend for seventy or so minutes?
