    Not sure how many people
monitor news from these teams, but there
should be a place for them.

How would finnish, norwegian and swedish female soccer athletes aged 17-20 find out information about US college scholarship opportunities?

Has she been a regular pick lately? If so, it must be tempting to hang on until 2009 when Finland hosts Euro.

Finalball- You'll get better responses on the College board.

Mäkinen has been the centerpiece in Finland's national team since she returned to international play some 5 (?) years ago. She was named Finland's player of the year 2004 for her role in qualifying Finland to the Euro 2005. But, as for most of Finland's players, it was a hard blow when Finland lost the deciding WWC qualification match against Denmark last fall. I think the only one of the veterans that has publicly announced that she will continue over 2009 is midfielder Jessica Julin, and, she says, it took her a long time to regain her spirits after the Denmark defeat. Valkonen and Kalmari are at least on a break from the national team and has both left championship contending clubs in the Swedish league (Umeå and Djurgården) for a newcomer (AIK) with a less ambitious schedule. I'm convinced that all these players would still be in the national team (and in better clubs), had Finland managed to get the necessary draw against Denmark.
