Yeah, I topped off at Little Rock, too. As to the Northeastern cities... it might have something to do with housing costs. Anyway, I got Little Rock Hartford Albuquerque Providence Reno (Great, I could start a company giving Reno 911 Reality Tours) Fayetteville Portland OR New Haven Santa Fe Milwaukee Las Vegas (no friggin way, even moreso than Reno) Worcester, MASS (have friends there. It's not bad, save for the fact that the drivers are bad even by Massachussetts standards) Sheyboygan Las Cruces Carson City Medford Shreveport/Bossier City, LA Boston (There goes my housing theory) Chicago (I could dig that) Eau Claire Oskosh/Appleton Sacramento Champaign/Urbana Natchitoches, Louisiana There are only a six or seven places on my list that I'd prefer to where I live now, and I REALLY DON'T LIKE where I live now.
Portland OR Little Rock, AR Hartford, CT New Orleans, LA Baton Rouge, LA Baltimore, MD Providence, RI Boston, MA New Haven, CT Honolulu, HI Worcester, MA Sacramento, CA Seattle, WA Charleston, SC Jacksonville, FL Las Vegas, NV Knoxville, TN Carlisle, PA Norfolk, VA Orlando, FL Chesapeake-Virginia Beach, VA Houston, TX San Francisco, CA San Jose, Ca Eh. I'm okay with NYC.
How depressing - Baltimore and DC were 1-2, and I already live here. I like to think I should be somewhere else.
Probably. Plus, the long winters, the hot summers and the absence of easy access to nature or outdoors activities count against it too. It's hard to quantify what NYC really offers, and it shows when you try to measure intangibles as this quiz does.
I ran it deliberately trying to get NYC, want a big city, like winter, don't mind hot summers, want high housing prices, need lots of culture and night life, etc., and still got Portland and Little Rock as my top 2 with no NYC. I'm not sure it's even in their db.
Actually My top 3 were: Philly Long Island NyC and I already live in NYC and Grew up on Long Island. Ironic because I said I hate cold snowy winters..
Long Island, New York -- I would never, ever live on Long Island New York City, New York Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Carlisle, Pennsylvania Denver, Colorado Wilmington, Delaware Manhattan, New York Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania Salt Lake City, Utah Seattle, Washington Norfolk, Virginia Kansas City, Missouri Charlotte, North Carolina Omaha, Nebraska Indianapolis, Indiana Des Moines, Iowa Cincinnati, Ohio Knoxville, Tennessee Louisville, Kentucky Nashville, Tennessee Richmond, Virginia Bergen-Passaic, New Jersey -- this is where I live now St. Louis, Missouri Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
yes, you only got 3 roads on Long Island and they're packed with cars 24 hrs a day. I also prefer the variety of scenery in this area. When you read Passaic County, you're thinking Paterson/Clifton but you forget about West Milford, Wayne, etc.
We may only have 3 roads but we don't have all the garbage dumps and toxic waste you folks have...Oh ansd those 3 roads lead places unlike in Jersey where all roads lead to the Meadowlands....
I have no idea where the nearest garbage or toxic waste dump is. I live in the 5th richest county in the country (I, personally, knock the county down a few spots) I can't imagine those rich people would live here if it was such an awful place with nothing to see or do.
Portland, Oregon Hartford, Connecticut Providence, Rhode Island Worcester, Massachusetts New Haven, Connecticut Boston, Massachusetts Little Rock, Arkansas Washington, District of Columbia Baltimore, Maryland Medford, Oregon Eugene, Oregon Sacramento, California Salem, Oregon Corvallis, Oregon San Francisco, California San Jose, California Danbury, Connecticut Honolulu, Hawaii Milwaukee, Wisconsin Bend, Oregon Cape Cod, Massachusetts Las Vegas, Nevada Baton Rouge, Louisiana New Orleans, Louisiana
New York City, New York- no Long Island, New York- no Tampa, Florida- maybe Houston, Texas- no Orlando, Florida- maybe Charleston, South Carolina- yes Norfolk, Virginia- yes (there's a bbq place on granby that has the best breakfast) Minneapolis-St Paul, Minnesota- maybe not Miami, Florida- no West Palm Beach, Florida- no Toledo, Ohio- what's there? Detroit, Michigan- no but I like their airport Cleveland, Ohio- I love AFL Chesapeake-Virginia Beach, Virginia- just b/c it's close to norfolk and norfolk has breakfast Philadelphia, Pennsylvania- maybe Jacksonville, Florida- yes St. Louis, Missouri- maybe yes Manhattan, New York- no Austin, Texas- no San Antonio, Texas- no Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania- no Louisville, Kentucky- no Richmond, Virginia- maybe Indianapolis, Indiana- maybe not
These made my top 25, which interest me. Nowhere in the quiz was there a mention of soccer, so I assume it's completely bogus Las Vegas, Nevada Portland, Oregon Las Cruces, New Mexico Henderson, Nevada Honolulu, Hawaii Santa Fe, New Mexico
Really, 5 years ago I was fine living in Minnesota. Now I own a motorcycle and prefer 11v11 soccer. You do the math

Bubbler.
Both Jersey and especially LI pale in comparison to the mecca that is Westchester. And only God knows why Long Island gets so much love, and is well known nationwide. Why is Long Island on a test like this, when Westchester or North Jersey are clearly better places. And I got NYC too.
Great test. If I`d ever move to the States, this would be my spot: 1. Savannah, Georgia 2. Clearwater, Florida 3. Galveston, Texas 4. Daytona Beach, Florida 5. Corpus Christi, Texas
