Hrm. Horribly inaccurate. Methinks it put too much weight on housing cost. I wouldn't mind swapping lists with astabooty.

Yeah, I topped off at Little Rock, too. As to the Northeastern cities... it might have something to do with housing costs. Anyway, I got

    Little Rock
    Hartford
    Albuquerque
    Providence
Reno (Great, I could start a company giving Reno 911 Reality Tours)
    Fayetteville
    Portland OR
    New Haven
    Santa Fe
    Milwaukee
Las Vegas (no friggin way, even moreso than Reno)
Worcester, MASS (have friends there. It's not bad, save for the fact that the drivers are bad even by Massachussetts standards)

    Sheyboygan
    Las Cruces
    Carson City
    Medford
    Shreveport/Bossier City, LA
Boston (There goes my housing theory)
    Chicago (I could dig that)
    Eau Claire
    Oskosh/Appleton
    Sacramento
    Champaign/Urbana
    Natchitoches, Louisiana

There are only a six or seven places on my list that I'd prefer to where I live now, and I REALLY DON'T LIKE where I live now.

How depressing - Baltimore and DC were 1-2, and I already live here. I like to think I should be somewhere else.

Speaking of which, I don't think anyone has gotten NYC, for whatever reason. Housing costs?

Probably. Plus, the long winters, the hot summers and the absence of easy access to nature or outdoors activities count against it too.

It's hard to quantify what NYC really offers, and it shows when you try to measure intangibles as this quiz does.

I ran it deliberately trying to get NYC, want a big city, like winter, don't mind hot summers, want high housing prices, need lots of culture and night life, etc., and still got Portland and Little Rock as my top 2 with no NYC. I'm not sure it's even in their db.

    Actually My top 3 were:

    Philly
    Long Island
    NyC

and I already live in NYC and Grew up on Long Island.

Ironic because I said I hate cold snowy winters..

yes, you only got 3 roads on Long Island and they're packed with cars 24 hrs a day. I also prefer the variety of scenery in this area. When you read Passaic County, you're thinking Paterson/Clifton but you forget about West Milford, Wayne, etc.

We may only have 3 roads but we don't have all the garbage dumps and toxic waste you folks have...Oh ansd those 3 roads lead places unlike in Jersey where all roads lead to the Meadowlands.... ;) :D

I have no idea where the nearest garbage or toxic waste dump is. I live in the 5th richest county in the country (I, personally, knock the county down a few spots) I can't imagine those rich people would live here if it was such an awful place with nothing to see or do.

These made my top 25, which interest me. Nowhere in the quiz was there a mention of soccer, so I assume it's completely bogus ;)

    Portland, Oregon
    Las Cruces, New Mexico
    Henderson, Nevada

Both Jersey and especially LI pale in comparison to the mecca that is Westchester. And only God knows why Long Island gets so much love, and is well known nationwide. Why is Long Island on a test like this, when Westchester or North Jersey are clearly better places.

    And I got NYC too.
